Yes, I watched it. Wasn’t really shocked by a lot of it, to be honest, but it definitely solidified my choice not to buy from temu!

I ordered a few little bits from here a few months ago and just after I received my order, I was bombarded with spam calls! It was every day for about a week.
It must be something to do with Temu? Just thought it was strange I was getting all these calls just after ordering from there.

I'm sure I read as China is classed as an "emerging economy" they benefit from paying next to nothing on fees to post here and the recipient country has to cover them instead... so on principle its a hard no from me!

Plus I already have a house full of shit I don't need so definitely don't want more stuff for the sake of it!

It just feels like it's gonna be another Wish type website? Not sure, haven't properly looked. But that cheap items, dodgy quality, longish shipping times.

But I am also absolutely pig sick of the relentless YouTube adverts for it.

I had about £14 worth in my intial basket...newbie code was 50% off £30. So I was like well I'm at £14...may aswell hit £30 as would only be £15 then...

Then had a deal on so ordered a heap of stuff out of curiosity

I ordered my little one a few bits on there last year, some clothes, hairbands and some safe toys and silicone weaning bits. The sizing on the clothes was way off but the quality was good and I was pleased with the other things I bought. I’ve noticed a lot of online baby boutiques on Facebook and Instagram and some Etsy shops sell Temu stock as boutique items. Like a little dungaree set I bought for about £4.50 is for sale at £19.95. The hairbands are less than a pound each but they all sell them for £4.95+ It’s shocking really as if I’d never been on Temu I would have been misled in to buying these things!

Someone upthread mentioned Amazon - I found some Halloween outfits I liked on Temu and they were literally £2 more on Amazon with Prime delivery so its always worth checking.

But how do you know Temu didn’t steal those things as they steal photos and designs

Did anyone see the dispatches programme about temu the other day?
It was basically bashing them about quality etc
But It was also talking about the safety of some products which was quite interesting as some sellers are advertising their products with regulated safety certificates that they haven't actually got which is obviously worrying
It also highlighted the toxic levels of for example of lead in some of their jewellery that doest meet the UK safety standards
Lastly it showed how you could buy blades and bb guns without proving your age, I can't remember if you have to put your dob down when you register but you don't have to prove your age when ordering or accepting parcels
It was eye opening but we do have to remember uk safety standards are much higher than other countries but we should still be safe when buying online from abroad
I will still continue to use temu but I will think about the items I'm buying more closely

I’ve bought a few things from Temu, I’ve been refunded for at least one thing from every order but I’ve only physically sent back two items, the rest of the time they have said I can keep it. But the majority of the stuff I’ve bought is just fine, I haven’t been expecting amazing quality and I’ve been pleasantly surprised, I got a set of 3 pairs of pj bottoms for £6, they are so comfy, I’ve worn and washed them loads and they are still like new. I’ve bought trainers for under £5 and sliders for just over £1 and they have been perfect. Bought a lovely long gillet which was £20, so comfy and my sister loved it so i decided to buy her one for her birthday and it was reduced to £9. Items have always came in about a week, packaging has been fine and I use PayPal to pay for it.

I don't buy jewellery or anything that was highlighted in the programme as dangerous or anything that would be a safety hazard
I only buy the things that I would buy on ebay which also comes from China

I've been getting loads of spam messages from people I know with temu links. It's quite ridiculous and almost looks like an MLM scam at this point.

Came on here and got distracted by a Temu ad . Anyway, I’ve ordered a few times, stuff has always arrived in the time they state, nothing has blown me away quality wise, but I didn’t buy it as a good quality item in the first place. I’ve had silicone moulds for resin, the one I’ve used worked and is still in one piece after two uses. It’s a 3d unicorn one similar to the picture. I also got one to make buttons but not got round t using it yet. I got some maker pens/felt tips and they work not sure how good a quality they are as I’ve never used any others since being a kid at school. And I got some water colours too, only used them a little and they seem to be good maybe not good artist quality but they are good enough for someone who paints as a hobby and will never sell or display work. I’m going to use them more once I’ve caught up on jobs. Had other bits and bobs like pen storage which works but nothing to write home about.

I've just received my second package beauty and jewellery and I'm still not sure, in some cases you get what you pay for some of it is really cheap and nasty other bits are actually good quality for the price.
I think the packaging let's it down if it comes in a package rather than a box it does get squashed leading to damages.
Would I order again yes I would but I would be more deserning on what items I order not a fail but not a triumph either.
