Tattle In The Press #2

The following was provided to the Daily Mail last month:

This statement is provided on the express condition that it is published in its entirety, without edits, truncations, or paraphrasing. If you are unable to commit to publishing the full text, please contact before any portion of this statement is used:

First and foremost, Tattle Life wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Princess Bliss Dickson.

The community on the site has long been concerned for her welfare, having seeing her publicly from a very young age.

The gross misuse of this tragedy by those with vested interest is appalling and we urge everyone look beyond the bias narrative.

Organisations such as the Samaritans advise against sensationalising a suicide or attributing it to a single cause, as this is rarely the case.

Tattle Life remains confident in its moderation processes and compliance. We welcome open conversation with any relevant authority.

It is essential for the Coroner’s office to be allowed the time and space to perform its duties thoroughly before any conclusions are drawn.

At this time, it would be inappropriate to comment further.

Today the Daily Mail have truncated this to the following, removed important parts and didn't contact tattle:

A Tattle Life spokesman said: 'First and foremost, Tattle Life wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Princess Bliss Dickson. The community on the site has long been concerned for her welfare, having seeing her publicly from a very young age.

'It is essential for the Coroner’s office to be allowed the time and space to perform its duties thoroughly before any conclusions are drawn. At this time, it would be inappropriate to comment further.'

IPSO won't take action on inaccurate reporting like todays purely speculative hit piece on tattle because to investigate would be a "significant intrusion into the privacy" of the family. Which is totally understandable. But this gives the Daily Mail carte blanche to print what they like on behalf of influencers with connections and vested interests.

It's abhorrent but that is the state of the media. The Daily Mail, influencers and Labour MPs are prejudicing an inquest.

If any tattler has a good MP with integrity it might be worthwhile raising with them.

Anyone can read the threads and see tattlers were the ones showing concern over a child that had been put, without her consent, in the public eye from the age of 4 https://tattle.life/threads/sophie-may-dickson-11.51694/

If you goggle the young girl that died, the AI at the top that sums up your search results says she took her life because of this website. Which seems like it’s potentially prejudicing because the coroner’s investigation hasn’t happened?

I dont think the quote itself is too bad.

Whoever is bad mouthing Tattle life, is ....bound to be bad mouthing us regardless of anything sensible that can be said. The family are grief stricken, Id assume and lashing out at everyone else. Although they are meant to wait for the coroner enquiry without prejudicing anything.

Ive no idea who this girl is....except....with all the recent stuff about social media, and online bullying of children in the press, why on earth were her parent/parents allowing her access online? Why was she recording and publishing Tik Toks? Were her parent/s monitoring her online presence and talking to her about it?

If Tattle life wants to exonerate itself then the site owners are going to have to be proactive seeking legal advice over this and not letting people get away with writing falsehoods about the site without some robust defence. The DM statement doesn't go far enough. Lawyer up.

Dr Jess Taylor (not a real doctor) is a pathological liar. She's exposed on tattle for the grifting fraud she is and that's the only reason she want tattle shut down.

Without any evidence she claimed tattlers created accounts elsewhere to stalk the child and the daily mail printed it as fact

But like Scotch Mist says above Tattle itself needs to be proactive. Most people reading this who know nothing about Tattle won’t know Jess isn’t an actual doctor or what she’s saying is incorrect. A lot of people just read news items and move on. So that’s how it becomes ‘truth’ in a way

I was going to mention, but was too scared to bring it up. There has to be another reason why Princess Dickson killed herself. I've been on the internet since the 90s, and people have been complete hole to me. Mocking me left, right, and centre. I've been on forums (Nova Board, Avon Board - GG to name a few) and bullying is part of its culture - the advice is to walk away, take a breather and not to read or engage.
What a headache for SB (sorry mate), and I'm sorry what happened to Princess Dickson, but there's gotta be more to this story. xxx

And the Daily Mail allows dreadful comments posted by anonymous users so they have no moral high ground.
Tattle is currently an easy target for these people who want something to blame.

I presume Dr Jess has evidence of the videos that stalking Tattlers have posted here of Princess Dickson? Otherwise that would be libel. I presume she has them along with the posts Tattlers have made encouraging child sexual abuse.

There is more to it, all you need to do is read Sophie’s threads to see the constant neglect & doing sex work around her children.

My name is NOT PurvyPanda. Surprise surpise!

Yes I like my anonymity online, but that doesn’t mean i’m not fully aware of the fact that sites like Tattle, Instagram, and YouTube hold my personal information. They can quite easily identify me.
Therefore I recognise that anonymity is a fallacy.
I stand by what I say online, even if it’s completely flippant. My opinions are honest… to ME. Accuracy doesn’t come into it.

I really do think we are the low hanging fruit. What next? Bugging offices and workplaces, and if you dare say the latest celeb to be booted off Strictly was justified because they were ‘tit’ at the tango, then it culminates in the gestapo filing in to cart you off?

So true.
I think part of why it's seen as an easy target is because the site is perceived as predominantly female. I see far worse on facebook comments, reddit etc, and no one kicks off about those spaces.

Should I feel bad that no-one has ever asked me to work with them and send links to the people whose threads I comment on?

I feel like Tattle is just something easy to blame. Influencers don't always like us as we have screenshots of things they've deleted, which go against their narrative. They don't seem to realise that talking about people goes on all over the internet, always has and always will. If they ever do manage to shut down Tattle, something else will just rise in it's place and the mods might not be as stringent there!
