Tattle In The Press #2

They are wilfully ignoring the fact that nobody would have a clue who this child was if she wasn’t plastered all over social media by her mother. This is desperately sad but instead of examining how she was let down by those who were meant to safeguard her and what measures should be put in place to protect children being exploited like this the usual subjects are jumping up and down hoping to use this awful situation to shut us up. The poor kid was exploited in her life and this is continuing after her death yet we are the problem?

Quite frankly..

duck OFF Ofcom and duck OFF to those 20 Labour MPs.

Labour have a damn cheek when they are totally unable to get their own house in order. Especially with regards its problem with pedophile supporters, rampant antisemitism, and trying to quash views they don't like.

Once again, they are trying to close down yet another avenue of free speech - because it doesn't fit with the woke ideology they like to push onto everyone.

They are also clearly too stupid to acknowledge there is a range of views on this site. You just have to look at some of the sub topics to see that.

OFCOM are just as bad.

Continually looking for offence in every website and TV station bar the BBC - whom are free to push whatever bias opinions they like - without seemingly being challenged.

Exactly.

And one of the main rules on Tattle is that what can be discussed here is only what these people put online themselves.
And that's strictly enforced. I'm not familiar with this particular woman's threads but it's dreadful to see people jumping on a bandwagon over a tragedy. Just because they think it feeds their own narrative. Tattle = bad. All other sites = good. 🙄

It's utterly grim that this lot are now using this poor girl's death as some kind of gotcha at Tattle. And the Daily Mail are bleeping irresponsible to lay the blame of a young girl's suicide at the door of these threads, without any basic fact checking first. Just taking the word of this bunch of cranks who are proven liars, and are purely motivated to get rid of this site to hide their shady behaviours, past and present. Absolutely disgusted with the whole lot of them.
May that troubled young lady rest in peace.

What stuck out for me was the mother removing herself from SM for a while as she couldn't handle the negativity (fair enough) but left her 14 year old daughter with SM accounts. I just don't get that.

It's a hard battle for Tattle to fight atm as its so emotive. So many people shouting about 'Young girl dying because of Tattle' without bothering to look at the facts and actually wierdly wanting to believe it's true.
But presumably there will be an inquest and the truth of the situation will be shown.

Absolutely is. Thats the reason we lost the Mario thread because someone went and posted a pic of the outside of his home. No arguments, thread gone within a couple of hours. You report something on X and it takes days to get looked at and even then most of the time they say its fine even if youve reported something a million times worse than you ever see on tattle.

Yep, because it's a sudden death there will be an inquest and the truth will come out and show that it had bleep all to do with Tattle.

Well, she wasn’t in her mothers care at that point.

Yeah, I feel like unless the inquest outright blames Tattle, which is ... unlikely, then I think people will shut up.

Arguably OFCOM shouldn't do even look into it until the inquest happens anyway, although we'll see on that.

Bloody hell Hotes, I've never heard of her before today. Because of the chat in Tattle I've looked at her threads.
From SEVEN years ago the 2nd post is a picture of her children dressed in a really creepy way. The fact that she was so obviously a prostitute and encouraged her girls to follow that lifestyle is gobsmacking.
Tattle has nothing to do with the death of that poor little girl.

As I said previously I'm sure there are a few comments that slip under the net because they weren't ever flagged or reported. That's user generated content for you, it'll always be problematic.

People on twitter combing through thousands of posts to find a couple that are problematic and then repost with glee. They don't care about this, they only want to use a death to suit them. It's sick. Mods of course want to remove any bad posts.

Overall influencers have to make up whats posted here because it's 99.7% benign gossip.

Meanwhile on instagram I reported a post saying "Yel should be tested to see if she's bulletproof" meta said it didn't break their rules. That's so much worse than anything that has ever been said on tattle.

It's a new low for the mail and MPs, not that either were held in high regard.

Won't repost but I've seen a fair amount of cherry picking of comments from here on IG. Not all to do with the recent news - to show how dreadful Tattle is.
Nothing illegal obviously (they can't find any as there aren't any) and a couple of dark humour - but now being paraded as 'how dreadful the posters there must be' ignoring the fact out of context anything can look a bit bad but also ignoring the sometimes appalling things on Twitterx, FB, tiktok, IG, Reddit.
It's completely bizarre.

I would send them to the mods in the private support forum, it gives them more evidence of people manipulating it to make Tattle look worse.

I don't go on the influencer parts of this forum because I don't know who any of them are and couldn't care less about them 🫠 but I'm shocked that this site could be raised in parliament and have these allegations made without any real evidence. To say that someone may have taken their life without any investigation into all the other extenuating circumstances that may have led to their mental health being affected is absolutely crazy.

I've read some disgusting things on Reddit and XTwitter before now so why aren't those sites being discussed ? I've seen posts by trans rights activists who have sent death threats to women who are gender critical. How is that acceptable? I've certainly never seen any threats being made here.

What we're facing here as the end game is the government positioning itself to ban social media platforms for everyone, not just 'to protect children' because they don't want anyone to be able to express any views which are in opposition to government narratives.

I hope the people who run this site are able to fight back against this attack on free speech.

How can Jess et al be singling out Tattle as the root of all evil when people literally talk to her on Twitter like this?

IMG_9804.jpeg

The whole internet is bleeping evil, but as it happens I’ve never seen anyone on Tattle post anything of that nature, ever. Tattle calls out crappy online behaviour, outside and inside the house.

Why isn’t everyone going after the platforms that have legitimately caused children’s deaths and facilitated their grooming and abuse? Why aren’t they advocating for just keeping kids the duck off social media, and for no smart phones until 16+? Why aren’t they preaching to influencers to take better measures to safeguard their children on public platforms? Why are they just so fixated on loosely linking Tattle to a tragedy caused by an unconnected accumulation of complex trauma?

Jess is absolutely sick in the head to be seeing this as her moment, taking advantage of this poor girl’s tragic life and death to further her own waning agenda.

This is starting to feel like a particularly dark episode of Black Mirror. I don’t expect anything better from the likes of Dr Taylor who will use other people’s trauma to benefit herself time and time again but to think that MP’s are trotting into parliament blaming this website for a bleeping tragedy that was clearly caused by the complex trauma she experienced growing up?!? Why don’t they try creating legislation to protect vulnerable children from being pimped out online by the people who are meant to protect them?

What an embarrassment. No wonder people have no faith in MPs.

Testimony gives the impression it's something said under oath where there are criminal consequences for lying or that there is evidence to back up the claims.

There clearly isn't for all the horrific stuff these vile influencers have made up.

Tattle is such a mild and safe site compared to what you get on the internet.

24 million posts and the worst pales into significance compared to the average social media comment section.

It may take time for the truth to seep out, but all these people are ultimately showing how bleeping awful they are.
