the projects they get, they don’t get them overnight. Sometimes the contracts are signed waaay before we know about a product. The PR box or samples are something that the company produce it to promote the products. I get nice boxes from Guerlain and Dior Makeup as well, because I spend my money there and they can see it in the system and b) i know the sales assistants. This doesn’t mean that i am an influencerHmm! Tamara never makes me want to buy anything but across the other ends of the spectrum - bloggers like Melissa's Wardrobe for example she has been getting numerous opportunities during this period ( ren skincare, opi nails, mac, bt mobile, tag heuer watches, tiffany and co) to name a few. I do feel some brands who claim that don't have a budget definitely do have it and spend it. In the foodie scene, bloggers are still being gifted pr meals, bottles, and sponsored content.
I agree with you that anything that is posted on IG and Youtube is owned by both of the parties. But I don't think the influencer marketing module is going to shut down anytime soon. It is growing year by year and businesses will still continue to hire influencers on an ongoing basis to increase their reach and brand loyalty. It will get stricter in terms of what advertisers expect - data/insights.
For instance, when they post a Dior Bag is mostly because they got the bag as a gift, but in most cases they didn’t get payed, instead they got a gift worth 3K which for Dior is nothing. Comparing to a big campaign they would’ve done for a particular product.the projects they get, they don’t get them overnight. Sometimes the contracts are signed waaay before we know about a product. This doesn’t mean that i am an influencer, it means that companies produce the PR gifts for marketing purposes not extra for an influencer and anyone can get it as long as you spend few dollars. Many influencers do not bring much revenue, let’s say the botched Tamara has 40% of her audience from Serbia, this 40% is not ready to buy the luxury products she promotes because of the life standards Serbia has. Hence, brands won’t just throw money on any influencer, but instead on someone with higher chances of brining the desired revenue.
