I heard treat her like a lady today on magic soul it always reminds me of the Motown medley. That was my first ever concert. Gmex Manchester 1993.

He's better than he was in the early TT days. I still remember when he got his first solo on the song How Can It Be from the Million Love Songs EP...it was a hard listen.
That can be said for a lot of pop band members from that era. They weren’t selected primarily for their vocal talent!
Gary was the musician, then they put dancers and attractive lads around him to attract fans. A recipe which seems to have worked, 30+ years later!

It astounds me every time I hear a story like this. I know some scammers can be really convincing and that they prey on the vulnerable, but believing that message claiming to be Gary Barlow?
I'd have been demanding naked selfies from Gary as proof of identity 👍🤣🤣

Also off to Nottingham with my daughter too, we're there for the Sunday gig (and then have to get back to Wollaton where we're staying afterwards, hoping getting an Uber or night bus won't be too hard!). Got standing tickets for the pitch, but hoping they don't demand ID as she's not 14 till a week later. Hopefully cos she's taller than me at 5'7", she'll pass for it!!!

I loved it when Robbie sang the Lulu part on Progress tour.

But still on my 90s TT nostalgia , remember this slutty little performance? 🥰

🥵🥵🥵 oh yes THAT ‘dance’ … 13 years old I was and left a gibbering wreck 😂 the amount of times I rewound the VHS 👀

I'd love to see them but haven't been lucky with any of their other tours.
Also missed out on Oasis and Coldplay (depite doing the whole sign up thing), so any tips on how to actually get to go to a big concert would be great!!
Back in the day, it was so much easier to get tickets then greedy ticket websites got involved and it all went tits up.
We used to sit outside venues for the ticket office to open to get front row seats.
I have no tips except patience and multiple places to open the website on and refresh until you get in the queue. I will only have my phone and work laptop as I'll be in the office.

Re watched Star Stories the other day, the Take that episode is hilarious and has Nigel Martin Smith (aka the devil!) pretty spot on 🤣

I went last night to the Sunderland show. Completely missed Belinda Carlisle due to the mismanagement of the queues. Over an hour's wait to get in, people everywhere not knowing which direction they needed to be going, not enough turnstiles open, clueless staff and absolutely pissing down with rain made it a very damp, cold and unpleasant experience. Moaning aside....Once inside we managed to see most of The Script, they were fab then I will say Take That were fantastic, a great show so if you've got tickets you're in for a treat!

Nigel had sex with him on the day of his 18th Birthday 🤢
Ugh, and 18 was the age of consent for gay men back then, wasn’t it? Nothing says “predator” like waiting until the kid is legal before having sex with them, like that makes it OK.

I always got the feeling something happened between Nigel and Jason. I think Gary was too valuable as the song writer and Nigel liked to go for the more vulnerable ones.
It was telling Jason only agreed to tour again (in 2005) if Nigel had absolutely nothing to do with them.
I think Jason is gay or at least bi. I clearly remember when the For The Record documentary came out, thinking that Jason sounded so camp, and I’d never realised that before.

I’ve listened to it, Nigel groomed him, without a doubt.😰
It’s an easy listen, doesn’t require much concentration, parts of it are really sad. You don’t realise how much is actually going on in the background with these pop stars when they are portrayed all happy and smiley.
Defo worth a read/listen 👍 x
I think he groomed them all to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if down the line, Gary admits to something with how close Smith kept him.

It’s given me food for thought definitely. I’m glad I tried it because it’s the closest I’ve ever been to Take That but I think in future I’ll go back to arenas and/or seating. I want to enjoy a show not worry about pushing, shoving or having someone vom on my toes!
I have seen so many bands in my time and I’ve seen Take That a few times now and that was by far the worst gig I’ve been too for people throwing up/being too drunk etc. I’m all for everyone having a good time I’m not a party pooper but so many people were being removed by stewards or dragged out to sit down it just seems pointless. Maybe I’m showing my age but why spend £80 plus on a ticket to not see all the show or remember it.

Olly Murs isn’t usually for me but he was actually really good, really enjoyed it. And obviously Take That were brilliant as always. Excellent show ♥ The only negative I have to say were the amount of women who were so leathered they started to ruin the show for everyone else. Shouting, falling about, pushing in and generally being a nuisance. Also had someone vomiting all over the floor and we had to avoid standing in it the whole night!

Agree, something didn’t sit right watching the documentary, Nigel was very controlling with all of them, manipulating them individually, it was uncomfortable viewing in parts especially knowing what had happened with Kavana.
I definitely think there is more to the Nigel story.

I thought the documentary was good, but it only briefly mentioned some of the bad times, there was a lot more that went on with mental health, breakdowns, addictions & rehab, especially in Marks case which wasn’t even mentioned.

Apparently Mark Owen's solo hit "Clementine" was called that as an in joke, as his party trick when he's pissed is to stuff small oranges up his bum.

I think I've seen it at every TT gig I've been to with pitch standing.
I find it so weird. Why spend a fortune on a ticket then get so wasted, you miss everything. Also seen absolutely blotto women being removed by the police.

Just another example of men getting involved on stuff thats none of their fucking business.

He's turned into a nut job. I has to unfollow him despite being a card carrying huge take that fan in the nineties and their comeback.
