I’m an Asda gal. Love scan and go. I get in right old flap at the self checkouts so it’s nice to scan as I go along. Sometimes go to Aldi as well because you can’t beat them for price but we like some branded stuff that you can’t get from there.

Popped into Aldi tonight for milk etc, was lovely and quiet. Usually can’t get everything from Aldi though, so tend to avoid it for large shops. If I’m going for little bits I quite like Lidl. This week we got some M&S food for a change, very nice but not something I’d do every week.
Asda is the only place I find it easy to get everything at once, but they’re quite dear and I would love to be able to get everything from Aldi/Lidl.

M&S and Dunelm bedding are made in the same factory.
And Moy Park chicken in NI supplies Sainsbury’s and M&S. Can get their stuff in their factory shop. Not sure what other supermarkets they supply but they’re the two that I’ve seen.
I am not really picky but husband is a total weirdo who will basically only shop in Tesco (his whole family are the same) so we go there for our big shop then I will get bits and bobs from Asda/Lidl/Aldi of we ever pop out there (not so much in lockdown times off!)
I get my cleaning bits from home bargains or b and m in bulk every couple of months.
If we are doing a treat shop we will pop to m and s or Waitrose for some fancy ready meals or something.
I am obsessed with fizzy Percy pigs so we end up there a lot haha.

I remember (years and years ago) my mums friend was going through chemo, so obv really careful with everything. My mum had bought her some houmus. There was some food poisoning issue with it, ALL the supermarkets had it recalled, Morrisons, MandS, Waitrose , LIDL.... it was from that point my mum started buying cheaper (ready made) stuff as it is all from the same ingreidents
I also find Asda the most secure (covid secure) safe place, not sure how where you are? But where I am they enforce masks, security person gives out hand sanitiser etc... only downside is i find all the veg in so much plastic
I usually get Gousto delivery 2-3 weeks of the month and as im on my own that leaves me with plenty of leftovers. I might nip to Tesco for a few bits like fruit,snacks and drinks though I do prefer popping to the local butcher and fruit and green grocers.

I might swing by Sainsbury’s (in non COVID days) to have a look at their home wear and pjs) on my way home from work
we go to the butcher about once every 6 weeks or so just to top up the freezer
then either Asda (for vape juice and a joint of beef) or Tesco (for their onion rings crisps and finest ginger and dark chocolate biscuits)

I usually go between Asda and Sainsburys for my main shop. I find Asda quite depressing and I've always put it down to the cold colours they use as opposed to Sainsburys warmer tones. As far as supermarket clothing goes I find Sainsburys are of superior quality.

I’m the same though only go in there for a treat or if I need some really niche ingredient as it’s pricey. I got a few special bits in for Christmas and it was all gorgeous.
How many of you get your meat from the butchers?
Yes, we get some from the butchers. The rest in supermarket like mince, chicken breast etc. My butcher is lovely, the shop has been in the village for about 70 years I think. I bought our Christmas meat there and the turkey crown was the best we've ever had. He also does amazing ribs and bbq packs and since he started advertising on Facebook a few years back his business has boomed. He also supplies a couple of nice restaurants in the centre of town too.
Me. Used to buy along with weekly shop. Swapped to butchers in the first lockdown, we have a local farmshop that sells the majority of additional things too. The quality of the meat is far better. We have also switched to a weekly fruit and veg delivery too from another local supplier that is used to delivering to restaurants. He started last lockdown and said it’s saved his business. Again the quality is better than supermarket.
I've tried scan and go, mainly to gain experience, I only pop into supermarkets to grab a few things, scan and go is very good.
I use Tesco online. Have did for over a year now. No issue getting a slot as I have a 6 month pass. I use my clubcard points to pay for it.
Very few subs, any issues theyve refunded me.
Family of 4 and we spend around £90 -£100 on our online weekly shop and probably £20 a week picking up extra fruit, milk and bread. My kids like expensive fruit
and things like yogurts for a family of 4 add up. Im not strict about what I spend or buy though. If I went in store itd be more. One of my children has taken a liking to these stupid Nat Bears for breakfast. The box is £2.60 for 6! Anything for an easy life.

i do! every once in a while i'll get something from the supermarket but when i have a particular meal in mind i'll always go to my local butcher
Butchers I used to use all the time but I became lazy a good couple of years ago, plus I moved out of London, where I would usually use ethnic food markets where I could get better value and goat or mutton, which alot of other butchers don't tend to sell. There aren't any in the town I now live in. I've recently been buying eggs and meat (specifically for roasts or fry ups) every so often from the market butchers on days when I'm bored. It is definitely something I'm considering doing more frequently again.
I used to , but the local butcher closed down last year. He retired and none of his family were interested in taking over. There's another one a bit further away but his prices are ridiculous.
