So good to see a new photo of them together.

I may have bought too many different versions of this re-release. 😅

Didn’t Shiobhan say she left the band by locking herself in a toilet and then climbing out the window or was that someone else in another band!?

And yes I heard that about Heidi too, the Freak Like Me video made so much more sense after :ROFLMAO:
In the Girl Group documentary, the story was Mutya and Keisha went all school girl on Siobhan and would leave her out of things, one day she had enough and left with her being depressed for a while. Then Mutya and Keisha had issues that Keisha blamed on producers. Later on, something was rumoured to have happened when they recorded Sweet 7 between Amelle and Keisha who up until then had been friendly. Heidi sided with Amelle, them reportedly saying it's her or us and Keisha having other issues with management (as well as being the common denominator in kick-offs) was dropped. She later did a video saying it was all down to racism.

Also this remix got an official release, we get to hear Push The Button with Siobhan. Mutya takes Heidi’s verse as she does in the live performances too (originally that was hers anyway apparently)

I was watching a video last night about Youtubers who been murdered and Martyn was one of the people talked about. After he passed, Corrie put a plaque up in remembrance of him and the other victims of the bombing, and several of the cast went to his funeral. Mariah Carey who he was a super fan of and met, sent a video to be shown at his funeral.

Wendy Williams had similar emotional video and dedicated similar on her show to him

I loooved the Adina Howard version!
And yes, when the video dropped it was such a moment! 70% of the video was introducing Heidi in such a bitchy way! I was a teen then too 😭
I feel the complete opposite opinion!? To me Heidi was an innocent just enjoying herself at a nightclub and then attacked and bitten and turned into a vampire against her will!

It's a shame you don't hear their Christmas(ish) song ever.

Kesha and mutya had a secret language didn't they? I think it was just spoonerisms, like you sometimes heard bitchy girls on the bus use 😆

I remember seeing the originals all at a festival insisting the catfights were all rubbish, I wasn't really paying attention to see Siobhan's reaction.

Did mutya ever use her landmark legal victory to be able to sell sugababes wrapping paper? 😂

To be fair all of groove armada's stuff still sounds great.
Ooh, now you're talking. Groove Armada were brilliant.

Hole in the Head, About You Now, About a Girl , Follow Me Home, Push the Button were my faves.
Didn’t realise Too Lost in You was a cover of a French song until I watched Love Actually with my French mate and she started singing to it! Got a bit confused as well by Shape as there was a version by Sting out at the same time (he wrote it I think), video was better than the song.
Best album for me was Taller in More Ways. Disappointed with Change as I loved About You Now and expected the album to have equally good bops

After watching girlbands forever, I had no idea Mutya had been so primed for stardom by her Father! Always believed the whole 'came from the streets' aesthetic 🙄

I went to see Sugababes in about 2004 at the Bolton Arena, they sold so few tickets that they had to give free ones away at the local school. It was a bit embarrassing for them, tbh

Remember when Mutya left it seemed she wanted to copy Amy Winehouse? If I’m not mistaken her solo album was on the same label as Amy and some of the same songwriters, started copying the flicked eyeliner and I’m sure she did a cover of Be My Baby and Amy gave some guest vocals.
Just checked Heidi on Insta- cor her husband is fit!
