Obviously wait until the tribunal, but the fact her lawyers went from wanting a £13m payout to £4m in quick succession smells really funky.

This was discussed in the thread earlier, looks like it was correct he was interviewed. I know he’s Janette’s dance teachers son, toured with Jannette and Aljaz in 2022, and was briefly on dwts. Seems like there going down the dwts route

I wouldn't say it's necessarily going down the DWTS route just because he was on there. He's trained in latin and ballroom since he was a child, this is him on AGT

His sister also still competes. He just happens to be cross trained. DWTS has a habit sometimes to hire dancers with no ballroom training, Alison, Britt, Jan but D'Angelo. isn't one.

I more mean in the poaching sense. Alexis and Dangleo were on the dwts troupe together

True, but they've already had a few pros who were on DWTS before Strictly. Tristan, Gleb and Oksana were all on DWTS before Strictly so it's not like they haven't done it before.

Some people on Reddit crashing out over the D'Angelo rumour just because he's American is wild lol. Literally who tf cares.

I've heard good things about his ballroom/latin ability and that's what matters, the main thing they shouldn't be taking from DWTS is hiring pros not trained in ballroom or latin, which seems unlikely. Strictly seem to have a higher standard there.

Why do they need to replace four women with a man anyway? Surely the need to recruit females if anyone, but I thought they were getting rid of some of their surplus since four were benched last year

They were short male pros last year even without Gorka not being there. I suspect they'll bring in at least one new female pro but they do need a new pro male imo.

If Gorka is indeed going (which who knows at this point), then getting a new man makes sense. But I think they'll hire 1 or 2 female pros too. I think they'll get rid of some surplus though, my guess is 2-3 newbies, with only 1 man at most

Having said all this, the D'Angelo rumour being false wouldn't exactly be too shocking. Last year the tabloids seemed somewhat certain that Simone was joining at one point, just for that to be false. And it's still quite early. Alexis said she found out she was hired in May, so they may not have chosen all the new pros yet

I think if they're hiring a new male pro, then surely Gorka must be going? If he's staying in the cast, that's still 9 male pros and adding another one will make them 10. Meanwhile they're down to just 7 women now, so unless they hire 3 new female ones as well to equal them out, it doesn't make much sense to me. And even then ... there's no point in having 20 pros in total, when 25% of them will end up benched.

If I was in change, I'll bring them back down to only 18 like it was until a few years ago - 9 male / 9 female so there's scope to cover whatever the cast ratio is depending on the year as well as having 3 pros on the bench. So if Gorka is staying, I'll just hire only 2 new female pros, if he's going - then 1 male and 2 female.

Absolutely right do not blame pros for branching out. Dancing is a short life really. When it ends there is always teaching but not everyone can teach dance as well as they themselves dance. Carlos is a case in point. He should really get his voice trained a bit first though. I think I read somewhere that Vito actually took singing lessons before RH&R to try and increase his voice range. His baritone is very good as when he sang a bit of Moon River on tour. Advertising, why not, but to keep some integrity, if one publishes reviews of restaurants etc giving marks out of 10, it is a bit much to give approval to a franchise company with varying degrees of quality across the country. I wonder if they do pizzas with pineapple on?🍍🍍🍕

I was a little worried about the post of Gondolier Vito delivering Domino's pizza from a punt. It really didn't seem likely given his strong aversion to pineapple on pizza. Today I saw what looks like confirmation It is a tiktok posted by the make up artist who made him up she mentions that it is for a advertising campaign

In Vito's Pro Tour vlog, there's a bit where he's talking to Gorka and and they were talking about how they'd like to have met earlier in life, then Gorka said they still have a couple more years to go...

I think the press were wrong about him leaving after all. Maybe he was originally going to and an arrangement was made, maybe he was never planning to leave, who knows. But between this and the fact the last announcement was over 2 weeks ago, I think he's staying.

I really don't like so many outlets suggesting Bradley is first choice as host. There are a lot of people I don't like that I can still tolerate the show they're hosting, but Bradley is up there with Amanda Holden as someone I will refuse to watch no matter what. Had last series been a good year I would find the ability to not watch the new series hard, but because it was so mediocre, if Bradley does get the job I wouldn't bat an eyelid at never going back to it.
