The stories of Mel and Sue on Bake Off just swearing and naming brands on camera when a contestant was upset so the footage couldn't be broadcast always makes me like them both. Because they knew exactly how to make it better for the contestants and weren't trying to get drama for TV.

Very graciously phrased. I didn't notice his absence last year tbh, and I hope that his new career goes well for him.

I think he was one of the ones who got the memo that making it a good experience for his partner was what counted. Working to their level, whether that was someone damn good, or someone who was likely to be first out.

I don't dislike Josh, but he just seems completely the wrong vibe for Strictly. He doesn't seem all glam and sequins and sparkle like Strictly is. And I just can't see him matching the vibe.

Johannes is just bland and boring and has about as much personality as we always joked Tess had. But will probably end up making Tess look like a world class presenter.

Emma is gonna be holding the shitshow together and showing exactly how it is done and make it look effortless all while looking glam and having her mesmerising eyes make me obsessed with her.

I hope I'm right, but I just cannot see it. It would be ridiculous for the BBC to put one of their highest-rated, prime-time shows in the hands of someone with zero experience of presenting a live show of this ilk, isn't especially well-known to the general public, and is piss-poor at the tin-pot 'presenting' job she currently does.

I'm gutted Michelle is gone, the one year they actually gave her a partner she was brilliant and did a much better job than boring Amy and Dianne who get partners every year. It makes no sense that she was benched again the following series after having a successful first year with a partner, then sacked. She's made herself look a bit pathetic in that interview though. If the rumours are the be believed, then they did screen tests with a lot of candidates. If Josh came across well in that, better than Zoe and Rylan, for what they want that role to look like, then good for him. Let’s see how it goes before people start claim he’s ruined the show and they won’t even watch.

I wish they would just get on and announce who the hosts are. The constant leaked/made up for clicks stories are not helping my enthusiasm for the return of the show (which to be fair is pretty low already)
