I just want an official announcement, telling us what's what! I wouldn't have picked Josh or Johannes but if this means they're switching up the format, it could be a good thing. We've all been moaning that it's tired and needs some changes for years. They had a near impossible task replacing Claudia so maybe they've decided to ditch the Clauditorium as we know it and go for something different to avoid comparisons. The fact that it's taking so long so announce the new hosts/formats could be because they're actually putting some thought into it all and making sure they get it right (OK that's wishful thinking, but we'll see )

They’ve dragged this out and everyone has been waiting for the big announcement and I just can’t believe Josh Widdicombe is the best they could come up with ….out of all the best presenters out there this is the best they can do.I’m already bored of the is he related to Ann Widdicombe gags online worst choice out of all the rumoured hosts for me.

If Josh came across well in that, better than Zoe and Rylan, for what they want that role to look like, then good for him. Let’s see how it goes before people start claim he’s ruined the show and they won’t even watch.

I’m all for a refresh of the show but I’ve seen enough of Josh Widdicombe to know he’s not going to be the best choice for one of the biggest shows on tv,he’s literally no experienced presenting.The BBC did a poll of who the public wanted in the role and he came bottom with only 7 percent.Again the BBC not listening to what the viewers want.

Have I been dreaming? ...... no, wait, what, Johannes and Josh, Strictly presenters?

One thing Strictly does not need, is a comedian, we have enough of those on the judging panel. I like Josh, he is genuinely funny, he has a good personality, but a live show is a risk and don't do too many jokes though.

As for Jo Jo, well apart from saying that he had truly bonded with his partner 'darling', and that they are friends for life, what else has he said or done that makes him right for presenting. Come on, he can dance, put vocalising and being front and centre, apart from in a dance role, seems bizarre.

If Rylan and Angela Scanlon proved anything on the Eurovison broadcast, was that they gel so well together, have that edgy style of saying the right thing but not over egging it. Rylan is someone who you are almost hanging on his every word, spontaneous, funny and a pro at live shows. Angels'a turn of phrase is quite unique and has that quick fire response, somewhat like Claudia.

Strange line-up, if true, but they can give it a whirl if they want to take risks.

TBH I was fed up with the "jokes" Claudia did about Dave Arch. They were never that funny to start with and just became a bore.

So if this Josh guy is an unfunny comedian, maybe they want to replicate what Claudia did there?


I've seen him but not enough to know anything about him, so I have no opinion about him yet.


Eurovision final is tonight, so I'm assuming the Rylan and Angela audition is done.

I don’t get the Johannes rumour at all. I like him but I don’t feel I know him. Doesn’t a presenter need some warmth, some humour and the ability to make chaos seem organised. Have we seen that from him? Mel could do this.

You have encapsulated everything I think about Johannes. He has published a book of his life but still somehow I know facts but not the man. I guess that is not necessary in a roving backstage reporter, but I never get the feeling he actually has much connection with the other pros. Sometimes not even his celebs. Maybe why he has never won even when given a good partner. Do we even need such a reporter? Its like find the guy a job.

I get that …but the majority of fans of the show clearly don’t want him in the role….just because he came across well in chemistry tests doesn’t mean he’s right for a the biggest live show on tv.I don’t think a comedian with zero presenting skills is a good idea it’s a huge responsibility and needs someone experienced.The guys also clearly not what the fans want so I think it’s madness from the BBC to choose him.

Not sure how many on here love Vito, but must say all this smaltz is pathetic. Platitudes and trying to push a persona of loving everyone and everything, is just unreal in the real world. Wish he would stop all this, be natural and honest.

If they were going for a newbie roving reporter then I’m surprised they didn’t go for one of the past contestants like George or dare I even say Joe Sugg Seems weird to have offered it to a pro who has already been announced in the pro lineup.

Honestly the whole emphasis on chemistry seems a bit odd to me, this is one show where the two presenters hardly interact at all apart from at the very start and the very end. Yes it’s nice if they click and bounce off each other but it’s not the most important part surely - they’re not going to become the next Ant and Dec

So that rules out all the pros! . it was clear from Michelle's interview that social media is hugely important to the show's producers, so the pros have got to keep engaging their fans or risk the axe, she said she'd tried to grow her TikTok but it was hard . I do prefer his vlogs though where we get less curated insight into the BTS stuff on tour (this isn't the off-season as the pro tour's on).

I've no opinion on Josh W as I don't watch anything he's on. I assume he did well in screentests. The Johannes role is a real curveball, he just doesn't seem right for it at all. I could see Neil or Kai or maybe Lauren doing an ok job with it.

He's been doing live TV for years on the last leg so he doesn't have zero presenting skills. Nothing official has been announced yet anyway, there's still time for Bosh and Wynge to get the jobs
