I don’t get the Johannes rumour at all. I like him but I don’t feel I know him. Doesn’t a presenter need some warmth, some humour and the ability to make chaos seem organised. Have we seen that from him? Mel could do this.

I feel exactly the same. Happy with Emma, unsure about Josh, but really don't need Johannes at all.
If these rumors turn out to be true I can see myself just watching the dances on YouTube rather than watching the show. I don't particularly like Josh and I'm also not keen on Johannes. Sure he's probably a nice enough guy, but I can't see him working out in any presenting capacity.
I'll actually be gutted. Strictly has been a huge "family" thing for us, with the group chat on fire every Saturday night, and many family gatherings over the years ending with 4 generations of us huddled round the TV watching the show. I hope there's no truth to these stories.

I can’t stand him, and he’s pretty poor on panel shows I.e not live stuff, really don’t think he’s up to it. I’m outjosh and Rob did say on their podcast last week that they both have big things lined up, Rob was announced for traitors so I guess this is Josh’s big thing. I generally like him but can’t really see him presenting strictly

If the Johannes story is true, sounds like they are changing the whole format. Maybe they have decided to run with something totally different now Tess & Claud have gone.

I'm all for equality, but let's not exaggerate. Since one host is still an older woman, and there were only two original hosts, only one of them has been swapped for a man.

Seems a very left field decision if true. Johannes doesn’t appear to have done as much media as some of the pros.He doesn’t do Strictly fitness on morning tv, doesn’t have a big social media presence, doesn’t seem to socialise much with the strictly crowd outside of the show. Has a burgeoning acting/musical career.I can imagine lots of witching from the rest of the cast.People like Janette spitting feathers about this, even though she is a terrible presenter.Neil would be a better fit I think although maybe three white heterosexuals would be a bad look. Interesting choice.
I find this decision, if in fact it is correct, so so weird. JW is a bit hit and miss for me. I find about 50% of his jokes land.

I don't dislike Josh, but he just seems completely the wrong vibe for Strictly. He doesn't seem all glam and sequins and sparkle like Strictly is. And I just can't see him matching the vibe.
Johannes is just bland and boring and has about as much personality as we always joked Tess had. But will probably end up making Tess look like a world class presenter.
Emma is gonna be holding the shitshow together and showing exactly how it is done and make it look effortless all while looking glam and having her mesmerising eyes make me obsessed with her.

…..is this really the best they could come up with.I can’t believe this pair are the best they could come up with….This will be a disaster.
I just want an official announcement, telling us what's what! I wouldn't have picked Josh or Johannes but if this means they're switching up the format, it could be a good thing. We've all been moaning that it's tired and needs some changes for years. They had a near impossible task replacing Claudia so maybe they've decided to ditch the Clauditorium as we know it and go for something different to avoid comparisons. The fact that it's taking so long so announce the new hosts/formats could be because they're actually putting some thought into it all and making sure they get it right (OK that's wishful thinking, but we'll see
