If that's the case she's lucky to have that temp flat as she has no chance of renting privately.
Any idea of much she is paying a month for the temp accommodation?
My cousin and his partner were housed in a hotel following a section 21 as the council had nowhere for them to stay and they have a child the same age as Jasper. They paid about £150 a month as the council covered the majority of it. Not sure how it works case to case though.

it’s a rubbish system but basically if you work you are expected to either pay in full, or a percentage of you are in receipt of benefits and working.
If you don’t work then you get it paid for you, plus extra support with food etc.
whilst in temporary you are expected to look for private, but if you can’t find anything then you’ll get banded by the council for social housing.
then you have to bid weekly for places, but there’s hundreds of others doing the same, and some weeks only 6 houses will go on the website to ‘bid’ for. (No money involved)
looks like she’ll be stuck in that tit hole for a long while!
