I am all for adopting, but people have the right to buy as well if its better for their family. We wanted one specific breed for multiple of reasons, we were on both UK and Irish rescue groups, but nothing ever happened. And our kids were 5 and 6 at the time so we ended up buying a puppy.I honestly think she faked that post so it looks like she adopted the dog rather than buying one and was holding off telling people about it til the dog looked old enough to pass off as a “secondhand” dog. People take a lot of heat for buying puppies rather than adopting one of the 1000s of lovely dogs waiting to be rescued and Stacey just happened to find a tiny puppy who needed a loving home...

Rex isn't grown up! Lol he's not even 2 yetI have to disagree with a lot of the comments about the puppy. Stacey has shown time again that she can barely stay on top of 3 kids and this is with a partner and 2 other dads involved. I think it’s likely that the only time Theo gets walked is when we see it on her stories.
I know we don’t see everything but it’s just the feeling I get.
I think this puppy is 90% for content as Rex is growing up now and this is now her new “baby”.

We were searching for dogs through rescues and no one wanted to give us one because we had a small child! I’ve been bought up with dogs my whole life same as my husband! Some people just like to have a moan at literally everythingI don’t really like Stacey tbh but don’t understand why everyone’s so concerned if she’s got a new puppy!!! As far as I can see they adore little Theo so in my eyes it’s a little doggo going to a loving home which is always a good thing
Not all sausage dogs are like that, talking from experience too.OMG. She’s got a sausage dog. I have a sausage dog, I’ve had sausage dogs my whole life. They’re are EXTREMELY needy dogs, they suffer extreme separation anxiety, they cannot be picked up in certain ways, they’re incredible stubborn to train. This is gunna be a mess
Even if she isn't sausage she will probs just be like '*crazy cackle* all you guys thought I was *cackle cackle shrugs shoulders* sausage and now i *cackle* have a sausage dog *shows off teeth and cackle* should I call him *cackle cackle* sausage!?!?'She *might* reveal the name tonight or tomorrow after she's *possibly* revealed as the Sausage. How fitting and totally unplanned () would it be to call him Sausage?!

I think you’re right. Stacey will have been following breeders on Insta. Someone has been unable to take their puppy so she’s been lucky as I imagine wait lists for sausage dogs are very long.I read the ad of the dog as the family that we’re gonna buy had to pull out so they still had a puppy left
It’s not so much the waiting list, it’s the price of them. They are thousands of ££ +. There is a rescue charity called the Red Foundation that specialise in rehoming sausage dogs and the wait for that is very long and they are particularly picky about who they rehome with.I think you’re right. I think this is definitely it. Also does it annoy anyone else that Theo is a girl? I always associate Theo with being a boys nameNot defending her but maybe she was waiting to see how the puppy took to them and they took to the puppy before announcing it. If she’d announced it straight away then had to rehome it because of its temperament or Theo didn’t take to it she would’ve got slated!
I thought I was wrong and she'd rescued it from her post, however, it seems suspicious that someone was giving away a sausage dog. They seem to be the popular dog at the moment. O know I can't have a rescue yet and I understand why with young children. I had a look at rescues, thinking they'd be loads of lockdown puppies/dogs and it seems that instead of giving them to rescues, they are re-selling them on to anybody. rescues are hard to get dogs from and dogs like sausage dogs aren’t in rescue centres and certainly wouldn’t be free!
