Would have been nice if the Iman had offered condolences to the families but nothing….
Absolute rubbish. They were recorded on the BBC saying they were heartbroken by the murders and any acts of violence and that they love and support all of Southport. Why are you lying?

Anyone who is granted asylum status should be supported, yes. It’s not their fault that the process is taking so long.

The local mosque raised money and contributed to a go fund me within 48 hours of it being set up.
My posts weren’t about refugees they were about illegal immigrants ?

Working in the black market? Where do they source accommodation if they’re still in the asylum system I’m assuming they’re still reliant on Serco? So essentially working whilst the tax payer covers their food, heating and accommodation.
Not necessarily, there are many houses of multiple occupancy, HMOs.
My partner is a builder and was asked by a homeowner to divide a property by partitioning multiple rooms into spaces to accommodate bunk beds and not much else. Disregarding all building and fire codes.
This practice is rife.
I’m not going to divulge the ethnicity of the homeowner, only that my partner refused to do it.

Whilst still in the asylum system? It may be different in the rest of UK but where I am the HO takes over the lease of the property from the private landlord or business, it’s only used for asylum seekers not the general public.

People literally can’t fathom the idea of people of different race and religion being heartbroken by the tragedy that has happened. To be anything other than white British now must be terrifying 💔

But there are no current systems to claim asylum before these people set foot on British soil so when they arrive they are currently all classed as illegal immigrants when they arrive on the boats.

I don’t think we are going to agree on this issue but I’m still going to harp back to why is it relevant to the murders and the subsequent rioting?

There are a lot of racists on this thread. Hopefully your husbands don't put your head between the cooker and fridge when he arrives home drunk tonight after participating in the riots against those terrible immigrants who are taking your jobs and homes and his dinner is cold.
That is an absolutely horrific thing to say. Wtf is wrong with you.

Very dramatic and silly
How is that?? People are getting punched in the streets, places of worship are getting set a light, shops ran by people of a different culture are getting smashed up and looted plus abuse getting hurled at them in the street. The only thing ‘dramatic and silly’ is the racist rum doing it.

I do have to wonder how much of it is also “they speak good English without a noticeable accent and are white”

A lot of the Eastern European young people will have grown up here and the only “noticeable” thing may be their last names

A lot of the anti immigration discourse these days is primarily about immigrants who aren’t white which says everything anyone needs to know really
Rubbish! A lot of Eastern European are here illegally, heavily involved in filthy crimes. Nothing to do with colour, all about their culture and being here when They shouldn't be. They can get in the bin too.

neither were there any in my Mum’s home in Southport because they all went home, or were sacked because they wouldn’t have the jab. Since then, the home is now mainly staffed with Asian girls from agencies on much bigger salaries than the local staff and that’s why they don’t want to work there anymore. These girls are taxied in each day at £25 a day from Preston from places that Asians have set up as it’s good money. They can’t even speak English and aren’t fully trained but the care home staff have to train them! This is why there’s bad feeling between communities and that creates tension.
Which I get but that’s like any job, agency workers get paid more. They do where I work. People can always join agencies for the same money. They should be pissed off at the owners and agencies not people who took a job because it was there

Always amusing these totally not racists denying that racism in general exists

have seen a few posters here do it already because how dare anyone suggest that someone who isn’t white would be afraid to step out into some of these city centres today?

But it’s really not. People aren’t targeting white British people (apart from white British police), they’re targeting anyone else they come across of a different culture, religion or race. We’re all witnessing this first hand in city’s across the country. You must live in Delulu land

The reason social care and health had to employ agency staff was because of the shortfall in the local area. It was local staff who refused the jab, not anyone else. Agency pay has always and will always be higher. I myself have worked both in my industry, agency pay was double if not triple what I would have been paid if employed. My family background is farming and they also have to “ship in” because no one wants to work for min wage any more.

There’s visa routes for economic migrants, you can’t claim asylum for economic reasons.

These weren’t agency staff they were straight off the boat as the article stated.

Mr Tayto will be shocked at that claim 😂

It’s kicking off from all sides.

Have we proof where Mr Tayto was born? 😉 (I'll behave now)

The police I feel for in all of this, one side or the other.
Lads, let's all get together and shout Takbeer...what will it achieve? The Imam giving out burger and chips, inviting anyone in the community with questions and concerns to come have a chat- That is what we need!

It does seem more and more people are fed up with the governments and the failed decisions, we have seen it in Italy, France and other countries. Add in the pandemic and economic/financial crisis and we get headlines about tinderbox Britain...every person has a tale of someone they know or themselves failed by the system.

I have a White Muslim parent and a white Muslim husband...they are both upset with all this, just need to work out which side to send them to 😉
