The stupidity of these "protestors" is encapsulated for me in there being a Blackpool protest, in the same weekend that the Rebellion festival's on, full of punks who are notoriously anti-fascist. Seems like they met their match there...

I think it can feel that way sometimes but to be fair I find most people here reasonable on the threads I choose to engage in, even the ones with different usually political opinions. I also find some threads a bit unhinged though.

There are people here who would 'laugh emoji' about people being killed en masse so I'm quite circumspect. Never thought I'd be discussing this kind of thing when I signed up anyway but it's been illuminating.

Well this is the point a lot of us were trying to make earlier in the thread. Monsters are created. The book by a forensic psychiatrist called 'The devil we know' literally walks us through, in very simplistic terms, how anyone can get completely ducked up given the right variables. But I got told 'Stop playing the MH card'. Failing one kid puts others at risk. But that's not black and white enough in the good versus evil debate.

It’ll only be speculation until it reaches trial there could be a lot more in the background that’s not public ? like if he was expelled from school or if the authorities were involved prior to the killings.

He actually did as he refused to pay the fare and a guy in one of the adjacent buildings heard the commotion and went out to see what was going on and was told to go in as it was nothing to do with him.

What do you mean, he was "someone of interest" in Rwanda? What "watchlist" would he have been on?

There’s lots of rumours online apparently counter terrorism had visited the family recently and that’s why there’s no digital footprint as it was all erased …It’s stated in the video he was caught on camera 15 minutes from the studio ( on foot) I’m only going by that,it could be false info.

There’s rumours the father was a diplomat involved in the genocide and given asylum here, think there were 6 or 7 killers given safe haven in UK under ECHR.

The UK gave asylum to teenage genocidaires? Actually scrap that it wouldn't surprise me. But the UK gave asylum to *African* genocidaires? Maybe that would be more surprising.

Your posts were insightful and welcome. Years ago I was (albeit briefly) a lecturer in Forensic Psychology. The development of people who go on to commit these crimes is so complicated. If we don't explore the 'why' we will never be any the wiser.
