I wish it was a surprise about what's now coming out about the parents.

This is the same story where the media desperately insisted on the 'Welsh choir boy' and 'Doctor Who advert star' narratives until they had no choice to stop.

With the way they actively stood in the way of the police even after calling them of their own accord and not letting other authorative figures into the home, it feels like they should face some sort of charge too.

More proof that the parents knew about his violent tendencies and did nothing, something odd in that house if they saw nothing wrong in his actions .
The situation we're at is that some people fear tensions created by saying and doing what is right more than the horrific results caused by doing that.

Parents were more concerned with losing their benefits than the risk posed by their son 🙄
The absolute bull of removing words that might offend these arseholes is beyond belief. There is the first problem right there. That mariella frostrop was spouting the same tit the other night. We must stop using inflammatory language and dehumanising them blah blah blah. Yeah coz that’ll stop the dirty pigs from leering and sexually attacking women going about their business.

Wow. Astonishing.

I did wonder what motivated the parents to live under AR’s control. It sounded terrible. I guess from their point of view, it was an acceptable price to pay as long as they could live for free thanks to the welfare state.

What with this and professionals’ widespread reluctance to call a spade a spade… well it really makes you realise that this country is a mess.

Crazy that the family had so much control on what was published about this maniac 🙄

And now it seems that the headteacher at the new school was told to remove words from his EHCP because camhs said they sounded racist

I can't tell you how furious that admission made me but it explains so much as to why someone with as many red flags as Axel had was traeted with such kid gloves.

Too many people care more about not having someone feel bad than the safety of, well, anyone.

It's awful to know that the fallout of that with R
Parents were more concerned with losing their benefits than the risk posed by their son 🙄
More and more the parents seem to be a huge reason as to why this happened. It appears they weren't just overwhelmed or incompetent, they actively sabotaged their own son getting help?

The Welsh choirboy/Children in Need advert kid narrative sure does show itself up for what it was now we know the full details. And then we discover that the cover up bleeping started before this atrocity even took place! We are cooked.

Why were they granted asylum? This is another government failure.

His brothers account of their homelife and AR behaviour…
How bleeping tragic for that boy, he knew his mum and dad had lost control, he has an illness and uses a wheelchair, i believe and he knew something was going to happen and he was helpless. I'm glad he got to move out to uni.

It makes me so angry that so many people predicted Axel's behaviour and police\prevent did not take them seriously. Did I read that his headteacher reported him to prevent THREE times? and they said that because he hadn't made a specific threat, just vague ones, that they couldn't do anything? bull. What a failure.

His dad is a liar. He said he was too frightened to confront him but he told other agencies that he didn’t want to becuase he was worried they'd lose benefits and also responded aggressively to school staff and police.

If he knew something was going to happen I wonder if he reported it or not. I don’t think he was helpless, yes he has a disability but he could have spoken to professionals or a charity of some sort and raised his concerns.
