As I said above, as her father he would be able to access his child’s records wouldn’t he? He would have to follow the appropriate path to get them, and they can redact or exclude information. Or is a preterm stillborn infant not given medical records in the same way as a living child would be?I work in HC and NO ONE can access records unless it is the patient or a representative/legal guardian that has received permission to apply for access . These standards are governed by the OAIC . The only people that will ever have access are those involved in her care at the time , and those that are involved in any care of hers moving forward at the same hospital . This can be related to the procedure or future care as previous history are stored together .
