I'm not feeling bitter.......I had severe sickness but, had no other option to work as a nursing sister up to 39 weeks. I had five days in hospital with my first as I started haemorrhaging at 29 weeks....I was pumped full of steroids in case I went into labour early but, the bleeding stopped and my scan was fine. After a 27 hour labour, the midwives realised my daughter was coming out face up and was stuck. Forty minutes of the midwife and on call ob/gynae registrar pulling and tugging.....and 33 stitches later , my daughter was born.......who was then diagnosed with learning difficulties.....the sickness has long been forgotten but, the day I gave birth hasn't!
