She just said in her Instastories it's been 7 or 8 months since she posted on YT and kinda wants to go back, but editing and adding subtitles is boring and time consuming. She put up a button to ask for YT content ideas, though.
Most of her content is about being a mom and Kaia's schedule, so I'm not interested.
No mention of work at all.
She shipped a whole suitcase of products from the US bc they wouldn't fit in her 2 other pieces of luggage. Lol
Well, she finally lets the cat out of the bag that she's not working anymore, her and her job "were on a different path" and she teases some big life change that she'll announce in the next video. Maybe it's related to her being a full time influencer, I'm hoping for something juicier.
I bet its something like kacie and her trips. The phrase "on different paths" with her face made it sound like a really bad ending

Probably something about her new tours with Emilio. Or maybe they've bought a house.
How privileged she could decide she wasn't vibing with working a 9-5.

Random question, but when you all first discovered her, did you at one point actually enjoy her content? What made you change your mind? Because sometimes I find her old content kind of nostalgic, since it was around the time I was about to go to Italy/lived in Italy.
I related to her a lot more when she was complaining about having moths in her cupboards (when I lived in Italy I discovered that it was possible to find bugs in spices like peperoncino lol!) than her complaining about having to install an entire kitchen in her Florence apartment. When she moved to the US and started posting videos like "I spent a ton of money at Whole Foods" was when the "witch-eating-crackers" feeling set in.

She would have been making close to six figures with her Sunday Riley job, there must have been a big falling out about her new role from the early 2023 promotion or maternity leave. I cant imagine her giving that money up easily, or all of the fancy events she was going to. She also said the reason why they moved back to the US in 2019 was so she could advance her career.

Remember she had a menty b after that Rinascente pop up event she had to organize? I'm not going to drag her for it, but I'm speculating she couldn't handle the pressure of that job. I've kind of thought her whole "pre maternity medical leave" was connected to her mental wellbeing which probably affected the fetus. Didn't she say the baby had some issues early on with growth or something?
Maybe she wanted to work from home and her job obviously entailed being on site setting up events and showing face.
Lucky her she could just ditch a job. But I'm really curious since I've read more than a few times SR Is a very vindictive company to work for.
And her reason for leaving the US was the position, she was excited to "expand and learn new things". I feel pretty bad for Emilio just getting to the US after dealing with green card stuff and he had basically just gotten his real estate license, just a few months before they left.

No, I believe her when she said she took maternity leave, and that medical leave pre-maternity. Just my feeling from how she spoke in that video explaining her contract and her early preg problems. Plus she promoted an article about how amaaaaazing SR is to work for if you're pregnant sometime around when Kaia was born. So it was probably sometime during her leave when she cut ties. I wish she'd do a storytime on that.
Didn't she allude something was going on with work, even before? I can't remember but I think it was on YT, not IG.
She still hasn't updated LinkedIn, so that's no help. Lol

This new apartment looks smaller or around the same size as the one they’re currently renting. Unless this apartment is in a very nice neighborhood it isn’t that impressive. I thought she would want an actual house or a larger place.

It's pretty big (is their current place a 3br?) plus it will be probably a 70k reno redoing everything and paying the architect, geometra etc, so maybe more. I'm trying to see what area it is, but the quick window shots don't really say anything to me.
But anywhere in the center of Florence (that she said, I'd love to know where), they definitely paid minimum 600k as is. Depending on the area you can go +/- 200k.

Here's her current apt tour. The rooms are smaller, at least bedrooms, but super high ceilings make it seem huge. That echo. Lol.

yet another Renovating a Ruin series is coming. It's a spacious apartment and does need some elbow grease, but that kitchen and master bath look so tiny. I personally wouldn't want a living room that's closed off like that but I know that's the style from that era.
