Exactly, she acts like a 20 year old living out of home in a foreign country for the first time, I wonder how much of this is real or is she just playing up to the American stereotype?
Sofies content is basically just Sunday rlyie or whatever it's called now, I wonder how much her getting that job was based on her social media presence? So much free publicity for them

Yeah exactly @emm If Sofie isn't doing a bunch of SR posts, she's posting ads for MZ Wallace or hotels. It's so boring, at least for me. Maybe because she doesn't really post anything else to offset them except for a random shot of Leo or Barolo.

Oh God, Kacie's story bit where she says she likes singing! I'm sorry, but that's not the best example of her voice lol. She sounds awful there.

With all these nostalgic song and dance posts I wonder if she's really regretting moving to Italy. The problem is, at her age now it won't be easy getting back into the competitive performance business in NYC.

Yeh I would probably be if I was her it must be really difficult to give up your passion and dream job to move across the world where there is very little chance of getting to do it again, i imagine in the long run it would cause resentment

Is Sofie advertising for that Fonteverde spa? She's done multiple posts for them the past year or so. I can't tell if she REALLY likes it there or she benefits from it.

Definitely the latter

Yes, with her standard "thank you!" Lol
I kind of presume she is gifted this and Kacie will end up taking her trips there tbh. Also, I know she is in Italy but she and her husband both seem to have SO many holiday days?

I just watched Sofie's latest vlog about Carnevale and I just felt annoyed by Kacie's presence lol. It seemed like Sofie even had to translate for her when simply ordering cicchetti? That said, it was underwhelming IMO. If anyone watched her stories, it was basically the same content, more or less.

RBF or just BF?

Lol yeah, I totally picked up the translating Sofie did when the waiter was just asking if they wanted a knife to cut any of the cicchetti.

I agree I was underwhelmed by the video. It was just them gushing over the costumes and a few seconds of the masquerade ball.

Paul asking the important questions. I was wondering the same. Does the “board” just invite random influencers? Surely there has to be bigger names than Sofie for them to just have randomly invited her.

I was wondering that, too! @moronglace Also because I didn't notice any other influencers I follow being invited/attending. Tickets cost 500-550€ otherwise.

I noticed the famous "pile" also commented.

I haven't watched it yet but j wondered this too, especially as, from what I've seen, tehg are the only influencers there? Is she that big in Italy?

I was just thinking about how Kacie went with Danae Mercer (over 2 million followers on IG and married to a wealthy Italian with a hotel chain) last year. Sofie is friends with Danae, who just had a baby mid-January. I am now wondering if Danae passed Sofie's name to the event organizers since she couldn't attend this year.

And Kacie is Glasgow. Of course she gets Taco Bell. And they first hit that one chain, Greggs. Lol. Instead of fast food being a treat, it seems like she eats it all the time. I don't understand people like this, so it's a "me" problem I guess lol.

*in not is.

I think you’re on to something with the Danae theory. I went thru her IG feed (trying to figure out who she is and why she has 2 million followers) and saw that last year she also went to the same shop where Sofie and Kacie got their costumes.

Yeah @moronglace I only vaguely remembered KR there last year with Danae. Mainly bc at the time KR stuck out like a sore thumb as it was clear Danae, and moreso, her husband, were actually invited and knew some of the others, lol.

A small time blogger from my area I'm acquainted with told me she got a job "advertising" The Beehive b&b in Rome because Girl in Florence passed her name onto them. It's what made me think of Danae+Sofie.

Her piano piano is a glacial speed.

I think she needs to choose her upload days better (Fridays are usually most popular) and be more consistent so the algorithm promotes her vlogs more. Several comments mentioned they were saving it for the weekend.

That said, I WAS interested in it, but as I mentioned, it wasn't very interesting to me in the end. Even her mom commented that she would have liked to hear more about why Carnevale is celebrated and in that way. Lol.

I was looking at the TikTok account of Natasha Nock (Canadian girl who speaks good Italian) and guess who showed up!

Funny how Natasha suddenly switches to English when addressing Kacie
---

Funny how she straight up says that she made TikToks in Italian when she was just learning by using Google Translate.
---
And then at the end of the video she shows how she speaks after two years, which starts off sounding very “fluent” but there a point where she can’t figure out how to say “a community that helps me”? So basically don’t trust what you see on TikTok, it’s all smoke and mirrors

Random question for Italian people, I know Sofie always says "rega" , I had always thought this was a roman thing, is it just a standard Italian thing? (Obviously loads of slang goes from Rome.elsewhere but I didn't realise jr was this widespread)
