I'd also like to know more details! I always found Deborah and Sofie to be an odd pairing - aside from comedy I can't imagine what they had in common.I'd love to know. I've grown to really dislike Deborah FW the last few years.
I don’t get how she’s making this into a race issue, it is a violence issue end ofSeems like Sofie has made it to the front page of reddit, under the cringe subreddit
I can't seem to find the tweet, they must have deleted it - the comments on that subreddit are also usually incredibly hateful and directed - but why oh WHY would you tweet this?!
I think she's trying to come across as an ally, but her tweet is a bit ironic, no? Perhaps she should have taken her own advice and not said anything about it.I don’t get how she’s making this into a race issue, it is a violence issue end of
Also this is a class issue! An assault happened and he was not escorted out of the building and has had no repercussions except for people saying it was wrong, one rule for us and another for rich celebrities. Sofie tries to be an activist so I am shocked they've made it about race? Not commenting on an act of physical violence from a RICH CELEBRITY because of his skin colour just rubs me the wrong way.I don’t get how she’s making this into a race issue, it is a violence issue end of
I checked their twitter this morning and the tweet was definitely deleted, their twitter was also public. I've had a look at their mentions and it seems like people of reddit have taken to twitter to share their opinions about this, I imagine DMing Sofie too. Seems a bit frustrating too because some people have really good opinions on the tweet and are giving VERY good counterarguments to it, but people from reddit tend to just be commenting on their weight and gender.Their Twitter is now private...i don't think it was before their idiotic tweet blew up.
Exactly, she may as well say “well the crime only involves black people so why should white police try to do anything? Let them sort it out themselves ”With that kind of allies, you don't need enemies.
It's about human feelings and behaviours, not the colour of your skin.
She means the opposite but she's no better than those who advocate racial segregation.
Yeah I thought it was a lame tweet but people are just being assholes.Sofie has been storying but hasn't mentioned the Tweet. Presumably this means that the Tweet will be deleted and Sofie will act like it just never happened?
It's rather annoying, as Sofie's tweet seems to have triggered such backlash from right-wing, fatphobic misogynists on Reddit and other forums.
Sofie freely admits she doesn't care about the environment so she can't even see the problem with it. Pretty sure she also said she doesn't really care about fast fashion and dismantling capitalism because she 'deserves to buy cheap stuff to make herself feel better about being ~oppressed' or some shit. One thing she shouldn't be able to overlook is the exploitation of vulnerable ppl in garment factories - but I bet Sofie's got an excuse for that one too. It usually boils down to 'nothing is my fault, I'm just an innocent consumer, corporations are to blame and my life sucks, therefore I will stop caring about the impact of my consumerism on anyone else and do whatever is easiest for me'.Latest grid post grinds my gears ugh. Yes let’s not care abt supply chain ethics + the enormous cost of fast fashion bcs Sofie wants to wear cheap jumpsuits. It’s really not very ‘intersectional’ is it
I had the same argument on a Facebook group the other day when someone was showing off their Shein crap. Apparently that’s the only place Americans can buy plus size clothing so you’re not allowed to point out it’s unethical or that poor women made your shit in sweatshops. Fair enough if you don’t care, just don’t pretend to be a feminist when you wear your poorly stitched crap that you think is ‘cute’.Latest grid post grinds my gears ugh. Yes let’s not care abt supply chain ethics + the enormous cost of fast fashion bcs Sofie wants to wear cheap jumpsuits. It’s really not very ‘intersectional’ is it
