I've not long come across her account and haven't got the full picture yet. For someone who is infertile I totally understand the struggles she is going through. Noone can honestly understand what it's like unless you have gone through it. But can't help think why would she risk it by drinking, by eating rubbish, yeh live life but f sake, if you can't stop the crap and follow what doctors have said for the one thing you have longed for for so long then when can you!! Give yourself a shake girl!! Hopefully it works for her. Maybe then she would do what she's told.

You are most definitely NOT supposed to be drinking during the two week wait. She sounds like an absolute chav!

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that she'd go through IVF and have an embryo on board, which she's hoping will implant, and she'd be drinking. I know during natural conception, a woman could be pregnant and not realise it and therefore be drinking. And it's therefore probably unlikely to affect the chance of success, but I just don't understand why she'd risk it.
I will never understand if you’re so desperate for a baby and I can’t begin to understand how hard it is, why would you risk it?!
You won’t do it whilst pregnant you should not be doing it if there’s even a slight chance you will become successful on your transfer

Has Emily’s.journey_x been mentioned on here? Absolute joke of a girl, crying about being too large to conceive, then doing absolutely nothing about her weight in time for her ivf appointment. Then sulking on her stories because people rightly call her out on it, and goes out boozing and stuffing her face again.
She's basically a bleep

Emily was completely in the wrong to call out the person giving her advice on her diet re IVF. Her whole life is on display and all she has done since pubs have opened is drink cider and beer in the pub. She isn’t showing she is doing anything about it. The fertility clinic could easily see what she gets up to on insta. Totally out of order for her to be so rude.
Thanks sally it was me she called out I'm honestly not bothered she can't take advice but iv seen pictures tonight she's crying again

I can't agree with the lambasting her for drinking in her TWW, I've tried for 7 years for a baby, if I followed that logic, my life would be so bleeping boring.

Surely if someone is going through the IVF process they can handle not drinking for a few weeks, lockdown or not. We’ve all been locked away for months on end but you can still support your local bar/restaurant without drinking. Plus if you are expected to lose weight for IVF then surely you’d stick to the diet plan?

From looking at her page it seems she hasn’t had IVF, she’s had clomid which forces ovulation. Not wise to be drinking while she’s having any sort of fertility treatment. I didn’t think they’d prescribe clomid without losing weight but maybe she’s paid for it. Significantly cheaper than IVF so a lot of people do that privately before going for IVF

I don't know how she expects to carry a baby at her size currently without any complications.

I know a few women bigger than her that have carried babies full term but it’s not really recommended. However, just going off someone’s BMI is BS as it’s so outdated. Other health factors should be considered alongside BMI. Family members have been on Clomid and had to be at a certain weight, if she’s gone private the weight limit might be higher but am not sure. If someone is desperate for a baby and has been told ‘no booze for X amount of days’ then I can’t see how they can’t do it. I like a drink as much as the next person but could happily give it up when I needed to carry my babies.

Whatever fertility treatment she is trying, she shouldn’t be so reckless drinking through it.

would her little sheep go on like this if she was drinking whilst knowingly pregnant? 🤷🏽‍♀️

i agree bmi is absolute rubbish. I genuinely meant no malice in my message to her. If she is currently unable to eat well and avoid alcohol now she's definitely in for a shock if she does get a baby.

this alcohol and the takeaways are pretty much daily she's not helping herself

Oh I know you meant no malice. My friend was obese when she got pregnant. She had to follow a strict diet when pregnant and actually lost 4st by the time the baby was born. She said it was the easiest diet she had ever done because she was doing it all for the baby. She regained all the weight she lost once the baby was born because there wasn’t the same urgency. We all do what we need to do to protect our babies, if someone can’t not drink a crappy strongbow cider then that speaks volumes. Plus someone can support their local by spending cash at the venue, doesn’t need to be a pint of cider and unhealthy food. Most places do healthy options, even the smaller pubs and a pint of fizzy pop (sugar free version)/J20 or a mocktail costs about the same as a pint.

This is what I meant, I could tell from your reply you were just giving some advice. There wasn’t anything nasty in what you said, just some polite advice.
She needs to practice what she preaches ‘be kind’. Stop publicly calling people out who aren’t even being nasty to you in the first place.

She has also failed to show the threats from her friends tho unfortunately.
It genuinely doesn't effect me I wasn't effected by any of it just more annoyed at the people messaging me constantly 😂
