I can honestly say, I've lost almost 10 stone following SW, I've not begged once, used not one fucking discount code of any description.

My fave memory so far? was it buying 2xl tops instead of 7xl tops? no...

was it buying 42 inch jeans instead of 60 inch? no...

it was asking beggy ben if he has parkinsons after he followed and unfollowed me about 15 times in 10 minutes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Beggy Ben 🤣🤣🤣 got me howling right now!

https://www.bmstores.co.uk/products/morphy-richards-soup-maker-317014 This is the one I've got - it doesn't have the sauté feature that the expensive ones have but it's still good - does three large bowls of soup at once so handy for meal planning.
Thankyou!! I will check this out 😊 love abit of good old B&M!

My daughter and I join slimming world as something to keep us on track for summer holidays, we get to spend time together, we have a laugh and set our targets. Covid-19 has changed all that, I hated the zoom meetings as I use that for my work appointments and it’s not the same as having a group.

I like many in our group like it when other members lose weight and share their stories in group. We don’t like when the group leader shares the stories of their inspirational slimming world members who have lost 10 stone but gained 20 stone in ego for example: Big Ben to Small Ben. The consultant discussed him for about 3 weeks and virtually ever member asked the consultant not to mention Ben anymore because we saw his Instagram page, he was egotistic and narcissistic. The men in the group felt exactly the same, a man who sponges off his wife, spends her money on dressing up like James Bond to feed his ego is not inspirational at all. Yet slimming world continued to publish him in magazines and he won man of the year which was undeserved. Everyone grew very tired of seeing him
I fucking love you ❤❤❤

Probably a lot of water retention too. Typically if you're going to binge it isn't going to be on fruit and veg, all that high calorie and high fat food is full of salt too. Back "on plan" they'd probably lose a fair chunk of that the following week. It's not a particularly healthy cycle to be in though (and I speak as someone who has struggled with that kind of messed up eating in the past).
Definitely this. Even ‘on plan’ I steer clear of anything salty the day before weigh day. Soy sauce/smoked salmon I find are the absolute worst ‘on plan’ stuff to make you retain water!

All the time on my group’s Facebook people always post their dinner the night before and it’s always the ones having massive bowls of risotto with bacon or a huge gammon steak who report no loss or a gain the next day despite saying they’ve stuck to it! Ever heard of sodium love 😂

One of the fairly large SW accounts I follow has posted an 8lb loss this week - surely that's got to be mostly water? The most I have ever lost in one week is 4lb. Unpopular opinion but I'm really not looking forward to group starting back up, my losses when I used to go were unpredictable at best with it being at 7pm, 4lb loss one week when I'd been very off plan then another I'd gain 1lb having lived off SP meals all week, all dependent on what I had or hadn't eaten or drank that day. Even though I know you're meant to eat/drink normally it's impossible to keep it exactly the same, I'd always eat really light in the morning then have nothing after 12pm and wouldn't drink anything after 3pm. Made the day absolute hell. Might ask if I can just continue to weigh first thing and text my consultant my weight, it would make life so much less stressful 😂 could never be arsed staying for group and listening to the X Factor worthy sob stories justifying putting on 3lb. SHUT UP JANET, WE'RE ALL FUCKING HANGRY AND THE CHIPPY SHUTS SOON :ROFLMAO:

Also how big are some of the tablespoons some of these insta accounts have :ROFLMAO: I always weigh out the 15g serving and it's way less than what they're trying to blag as 1 syn worth or whatever
8Ibs in a week is definitely water weight. I'd be booking a doctors appointment if that was all fat burn 😂 as with anything, slower loss with abit of a gain here and there is normal, even things like the weather impact fluid retention. It can get quite competitive at these groups which I don't think helps.

Alot of these big accounts DEFINITELY go over their syns! Not what I would class as healthy portions. Cramming on as much free food as possible because they think they can 😂

Yes she absolutely infuriates me. Every single day chocolate piled high for breakfast and then a giant chocolate filled dessert?!
She’s always so smug and clearly is not in the real world. She does a couple of hours of uni, lives with her parents, goes on a giant walk and does a long workout every single day and then preaches to everyone that it’s a sustainable lifestyle change? Yeah ok love, can’t wait to see how sustainable you find it once you get a 9-5 desk job and have bills to pay!
She seems to spend SOOOO much on food too, uploads shops every day

You might need to report it, due to how long it’s been up. I’m sure mods will take it off for you 👍

Love this thread. I've started CC and recently started an Insta account to keep me accountable. If I see one more plate of mini eggs and Biscoff for breakfast I'm going to scream 🤣 🤣
Good luck, I’m waiting for the right time to start again and might go down the CC route.

Funny you say that, as a former target member I remember full well the ‘control’ SW gave me following on from a miscarriage where I got to my lowest adult weight ever. I look at pictures from back then and they actually just make me sad, because I know full well that I’m sad in them too at the time of taking them.
Sorry to hear that. Its a bit of a rollercoaster. :(

SW-Kirk clearly has a problem with food! Has he separated from the kids Mom? The way he interacts with some of the women is overstepping the mark. He clearly has an ED and Slimming World isn't working for him! It may have worked, but it isn't now.
Urgh he’s such a creep and is always licking arse with all his girl followers

Do any of you know of any slimming world instagrammers that have got to target and maintained their weightloss?
Me 😂😂😂

I used to love slimming world accounts on Instagram. I think my favourite of the ones I followed were Lifethroughemseyes and Lilandlife. Spanjee. Foppperholic. Chloe Phillips. Mrs mummy wright. There was some girl from Liverpool Nikki something? She had dark hair and was always saying My lubs! Her neighbours cat used to come round and she would claim it as her own 😂

The usual ones really that have already been mentioned on here. But I got so overwhelmed with it all. I now don’t have a clue how to lose weight or eat nomally. I struggle with it

I'm glad to hear that, she was in desperate need of intervention. I had to stop following her as found a lot of her posts quite upsetting.
Was she the one that always had raw red onion on her plate? If so I used to follow her, the poor girl had lost her Mum and it was clear she had an issue with food.
