Putting #slimmingworld and #swmeals etc for stuff like this really annoys me too, nothing slimming world about it! Totally misleading View attachment 492156View attachment 492157
WOW definitely nothing remotely SW about that!!! Also, not helpful to anybody who is genuinely trying to lose weight, they don't need that shoved in their face 🤢

‘Foodgasmic’ 🥴🤮
Also, anyone noticed how all of the bigger accounts comment on any ADs posted by other accounts in the hope that they will get freebies?! 😂😂😂

They do it because they know they’ll get a big loss on their next weigh in which in turn will bring in a flood of “YoUr sUcH aN InsPirAShOn BaBe” comments, follow a fuktard Friday nominations and those wanky “WhaT U dOiN NoW” tags.
So true! Used to wind me up so much when people would be scranning huge dominos/chippy teas etc saying weighing in tmoz, then lo and behold a week later they drop about half a stone!
so misleading for people who follow for weight loss ideas as they just won’t understand that is mostly water weight and then get disappointed with their own 1lb loss which is actually a much healthier loss in the long term

Some women do need to diet during pregnancy in order to have a healthy baby. The ‘real’ SW plan is just a balanced diet so would do no harm. I’m not a fan of SW but eating a meal with a 1/3 of the plate being vegetables will just increase a persons micronutrient intake. Now if the person was eating 10 Muller yogurts and making some cake from a jar of sweetener and cottage cheese then that’s a different story!

No slimming world is the one where you CANT have a banana if its mashed up. Well you can have it but its 5 syns instead of being a free food
5 syns if you mash it with a fork. Free if you mash it with your teeth inside your mouth...🤨

The new 'cheesecake' Easter eggs are doing my head in. Again, nothing Slimming World or in fact cheesecake about them. I would have been told off as a child for filling up an Easter egg shell with a load more crap and I'm not about to start now :ROFLMAO:
I saw someone mash up brownies, mix them with buttercream, stuffed into half an Easter egg 🤢

This is how I want to be 🙈 I have been on some form of plan/calorie counting for years now. Losing and gaining the same 15lb. I haven't been feeling great and been doing just that having what I fancied, because there was only certain stuff I could eat without it stinging my throat anyway, and my weight has stayed the same this last week, I have left stuff if I've been full whereas like you say you feel like you have to finish it because of the syn value of the portion or whatever. This is the saddest thing but what has been most liberating has been just pouring milk straight from the carton into my coffee like a normal person without measuring it out to the ml 😂
Honestly, just do it.

Eyeroll alert 🚨 I have to say I am a huge fan of the ‘have your cake and your skinny jeans too’ book which was just another bandwagon jump for so many slimming worlders a couple of years ago. Reading that book was the turning point for me; for it to sink in and actually affect your behaviour though you have to be already actively questioning the plans; which you are. Honestly I think you would be successful (and I guarantee happier).

I think I started by just weighing in once a week; dropping the plan idea all together, menu planning for the next week thinking about my favourite meals and then just ate until I was satisfied. It’s so simple but the empowerment you get from eating what you want for a week and loosing weight (because if weight loss is a serious goal you won’t go mad!) that you will want to stick with it.

For me, ditching the plans has made me realise how disordered they were, I dropped pounds fast (for good) doing this and I cannot stress enough how it should be everyone’s ultimate goal - people cannot continue to pay slimming world et al every week until they keel over. It’s an entirely unnecessary and fabricated industry which only survives because people buy into it. I think a lot of people seem to be more critical and recognising it for what it is. Just question why skimming world haven’t shut down or warned off any of these accounts promoting the flawed ‘Instagram’ version of the plan - despite the fact that it’s disordered and downright unhealthy, they are a business and businesses are about profit not health 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fat is a feminist issue is a really good book.
I find people who are effortlessly thin just eat to hunger cues, if one day they have a big appetite they roll with it. Next day hardly any food. It all balances out. When they eat they enjoy it sans guilt. They might have a big meal three times a week, not everyday every meal.
That’s a load of bollocks, sorry but someone needed to say it.

Thats a great consultant! Unless youre gonna have fry light roasties forever then you need to learn whats a reasonable amount of oil to use.

Saw someone on the PON fb page say there gravy is say 120 cals per portion but Bisto for a portion is less. People arguing that its made of free foods so calories dont matter. 🤡
My consultant is like that and calls it savvy syns for when you’re at target

So me personally I don’t have choc sweets and biscuits in the house in batches as it’s just too much temptation to not eat a whole packet of biscuits so my extra syns I use like proper oil for roasties instead Of fry lite

Love this thread. I've started CC and recently started an Insta account to keep me accountable. If I see one more plate of mini eggs and Biscoff for breakfast I'm going to scream 🤣 🤣

@Instagram Sham thank you for the book recommendation, it arrived yesterday and I’m 1/3 of the way through. The novelty of the pubs being open and being ‘off plan’ and not really knowing what to do with myself without the structure probably means I’ll put on this week, but I’m hoping it will level out. It has been such a relief this week not being all consumed by how I’m going to use my Healthy Extras, my syns, have I got enough of everything in the fridge at home to create SW compliant meals rather than just going yeah we’ll have whatever. My boyfriend said I have been a lot more easy going. I guess I just need to get it under control on an even keel or I’ll be back in a bad mood cos I’ve put on a load of weight 🤷‍♀️ the vicious cycle. Still rid of the sore throat without the dairy.

RE the SW post about calorie counting, I’ve nothing against SW it’s been helpful for me and is for a lot of people but that contradicts itself at every turn 🤣 Slimming World and Science don’t belong in the same sentence 🤣

They get it gifted that’s why while idiots like me have to pay for it £11.99 😑😑😑

She used to do slimming world and to be fair she does calorie counting now but I still would never spend 400 cals on that. That’s a lot for breakfast
400 calories really isn’t a lot for a meal.
I’m all for bashing people for overeating on sugar etc, but not bashing people for using a valid 400 calories on a meal.
For me personally the less calories/ smaller portions I eat at my meals, lead me to snack more.

Based on what someone said about SW moving in a diff direction , my consultant was saying today all consultants are getting I think 6 weeks worth of training so interesting to see what comes of it

If they were to move in a diff direction as in CC, not sure if I would be doing that . Measuring and tracking every single item isn’t for me . Ive lost all my weight that I needed to do and currently a target memeber and have maintained for over a year now so I know the current plan works for me
