Hi all, been creeping a while but finally decided to take part!

I’m a PT/online coach myself (very very small following) and I studied a four year degree in sports and exercise. Worked with people in person for 5 years before going online. Siobhan and Becca G all EVERYTHING that is wrong in this industry.

-Promote binge eating and disordered patterns
-Overstep the mark giving psychological advice
-Spend more time “learning” about spiritual shite than their actual industry (neither have posted ANYTHING about learning training techniques etc but highlight self help books 🙄)
-Give very basic, very cookie cutter plans

...AND what annoys me most about Siobhan is that she did a short shitty PT course. And she thinks she’s qualified to give others short, shitty online PT courses 😅😅 our industry is soooo underregulated and it genuinely upsets me so much. I honestly couldn’t give a shit if any of these huns is more famous/makes more money than me. I give a shit because I usually have to spend the first month of any programme I give undoing all the bad work another AWFUL PT has done (largely online trainers).

Oh FFS, Siobhan got as close to being an Actuary as someone with a degree in biology is to being a doctor. She never worked as one, so I don't know why she keeps mentioning it. I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for her. She actually started out ok and seemed to have a genuine interest in sports & personal training, and I remember her talking about turning down lots of #spon offerings because she didn't believe in the product, and I respected that. But over recent times, she's become more interested in living and going on the piss in poorer countries, and less about improving her offering in a very competitive industry, where she's competing with people who look (with respect) a lot fitter than she does. She's basically become a swipe-up merchant and that's not gonna pay the deliveroo bills in the long-term.

As an aside, going on the lash long-term in Bali & Thailand, and Portugal is not living differently, most 20yr olds are doing it, as are retired Brits, and they're not cool. If she was training with monks in the hills of Kilimanjaro, she could argue she's doing it differently, but she's just doing what we all did in our early 20s, but in her 30s. After all her "the people are lovely here" shite, she legged it from Bali after her moped helmet was stolen at the start of Covid (remember the 'looting' story 🙈) which tells you what she actually thinks of the people in these countries.

I'm also not going to to take life lessons or body-positivity advice from someone with a boob & teeth job, and don't get me started on the "material possessions" bull from someone who has to have the latest iphone and/or Samsung (which she hates apparently but still spends a ton of €€ to have it )

Sorry for the rant, but people like this really annoy me. I had to unfollow her after the Apartment share with Begarty, it was just too much to watch at a time when people are really struggling - though I must admit, this has almost been almost therapeutic to write, so cheers Shiv 🙏

Ah Shiv...dont worry about us in lockdown on Irelands green isle...we'll cope on the whole...sure we'll have each other, cosy nights fireside cuddling people instead of a pillow, warm tasty stews instead of pokemon bowls, yep we'll have to get up & probably skip the yoga & highlighting and I'd say myself I wont instagram brekkie but sure hey the nation has to keep functioning...some of us even enjoy our endeavours...I know I know you're self-actualised by nailing the tone of those toothpaste swipe-ups but you can surely understand some of us want to excel in careers & are willing to go out in the rain to get to work...it's grand though because our parents & vulnerable family members & neighbours will find comfort in having us around to rely on for their needs or should they get sick. If Im unlucky & get covid Id be certain I'll have support here...so dont you worry your numerically talented big brain there about us & let it distract you from your 4hour sales pitch in that covid free haven....oh no, wait🤔

Siobhan probably throws handfuls of old my protein gear off the back of her bike in Bali at the peasants as the queen rides off to the gym or back to the villa 🙄
While screaming what she got in her leaving cert at the top of her voice 😂

Hi all,
Disclaimer-it’s a long one! Buttttttt-worth it ( putting my self-worth book into practice 😝❤😝-JK)
Long time reader-first time poster.
I started following SOH in 2015/2016.
I was on my own fitness journey and honestly, she was very relatable and inspiring.
I started with a similar physique to hers and seeing how she transformed hers was fuel for me.
I started working 1 to 1 with a pt in an excellent gym-and what do do know-he used to train her in the beginning(had no idea when I started with him)
He was the guy responsible for “That” transformation. He said , in the beginning, she worked incredibly hard and did everything he told her to do.
The work yielded results fairly quickly and she was consistent. When she started to get attention on insta I think everything changed!
He’s a good guy and amazing trainer-I’ve been with him since 2016 and even though I can do a lot on my own-I still go to him as he pushes me way beyond my boundaries. I consider him a friend now.
I’ve also just started with Recalibrated Bodies-as during Lockdown I need to focus on nutrition. I can update you guys on my thoughts/experience if you like. Very excited as they have an amazing rep and are gorgeous to deal with.
As far as SOH is concerned-she used an extremely knowledgable and talented trainer to help her get results fast-nothing wrong there-she soaked Up every piece of info he gave her (he trains pts) and then went and did a short pt course.
As far as I know she was still going to him while training her own clients! A pt with their own pt!
She used Recalibrated Bodies to get in shape for the show...and a pt( who knows what other help she had. She has always denied using anything else-but that leanness and vascular appearance is nearly always a result of additional help-given her inability to obtain that kind of definition anytime before or after the comp leads me to question how “clean” she was. I am no expert and not saying she was using performance inhancers-just questioning how she achieved such an incredible transformation )
That trainer cannot stand her-he grimaces when I mention her.
She also never gave him ANY credit for helping her on her journey. He’s never mentioned that-just something I noticed. I thank him constantly as I know I’d achieve so much less without him.
Bottom line-with A LOT of help she had an amazing transformation-no doubt at all that she put in serious work-but she has coasted on those results for years. She has stood on the shoulders of others to gain success.
She has a horrible relationship with food and self image-don’t we all? It’s a shame-I do think she is a beautiful lady, especially when done up(y’all can hate away for that comment!).
Her body for the competition was incredible-that’s my goal with Recalibrated Bodies. I’ve spent years building a foundation and I want to cut serious body fat to see what’s hiding underneath!
All that’s fine-just don’t market yourself as the answer to vulnerable people’s woes when you can’t keep your own body issues in check-even with tonnes of exceptional professional help. Don’t join the “I’m comfortable in my own skin” brigade because you can’t be consistent. if I exercised like her I’d be in incredible shape-the fact that she isn’t makes me wonder....she has zero definition in her legs.
The trainer she used is all about legs/core and bum-he’s given me incredible tools and I’m sure she benefited from the same.
It looks to me like she only does what she likes to do in the gym-no real hard work-nothing that burns! Deadlifts/cleans are fun but the real leg and Ass work sucks and I never see her do it?!
Anyhoo-just my 2 cents.
Thanks for all the super amusing posts. You lads have a direct line to my funny bone 😉😝

This prick will be back on 24th December no doubt when life is a bit easier here for a bit 🙄 fly first class, sprawl over Internet, turn up at Swords for 5mins then check in somewhere more instagrammically acceptable with the leach in tow. OR, stay in her childhood bedroom for 48 hours and have the standard teenage strop WHY IS THE WEATHER NOT WARM HERE FML ETC ETC before getting her hair lounge crap extennies and fucking off again. Repeat repeat. Minus any isolation coz insta famous innit.

Yeah. Living differently. ✌

Wow she is trying to flog the Fraud Furnace like nobodys business🤣🙄🙄Disgusting her flying over on her First Class Fight when Balinese people are barely surviving..would you not rather spend the money helping locals there than flying bloody First Class in a Pandemic when no one on the plane anyway...😡😡
She IS helping a lot - did you not hear her say that she's actually TIPPING the people who are feeding her??? She's basically Mother frikken Teresa. I've been on to Hazel Chu to arrange Freedom of the City for Shiv when she gets back. Not sure when this might be, though probably when her moped helmet is stolen like last time. #looting

Why can't I stop watching??? I unfollowed her months ago. It's like fraud influencer porn for me...a PornOH as it were 😝

I've been very quiet these days. I have been thinking long and hard about my money and what to do with it. As you all know I was hoping to get a spot on the Furnace. Very tempted when the special offer came out but I've decided instead I am going to invest in the rings Sinead is bringing out. I feel like it will be an investment jewellery piece. If I have any money left over I'm going to treat myself to a my protein yoga set, the vegan whey powder and some teeth whitening strips. Im feeling empowered already.

If she wasn’t a user & a liar I might feel sorry for her. But the actual cheek that she runs a business on selling a Food/exercise plan she can’t even follow herself for 2 day’s straight- she’s such a con. And she’s cranky, she basically is 10-15 years off of being your mad Old single aunt Hilary who left Ireland for a sunnier climate in the 90s and now drinks Pinot Grigio round the clock in the algarve whilst looking like a prune from the sun, giving unwarranted holiday advice Anytime she hears an irish accent , hanging out in a bar called ‘Roys Irish Bar’ or the likes 😂

I'm calling a living differently Christmas. Pic in the red bikini with a santa hat and the other cross fitters. Non traditional christmas dinner somewhere with them all. Sunset watching on the beach. Morning coffee thoughts about how weird it is not to be in Swords and on the sesh every night. Zoom call/quiz with her family.
Thats my guess anyway.

I really don’t like when she repeatedly says how she doesn’t like children. Why does she need to say that? I think she thinks it makes her edgy and free and more interesting. I often wonder how her lifestyle will hold up when she hits 40 and all the people in these places are 22.
I’m new here, are there threads on Vogue or Rosanna Davison or Roz Purcell?
In Siobhans defence (not usually in defense mode on here) i dont want kids and am always told i'll change my mind. I wont. I'm mid 30s, my most fertile days long gone and am happy to be child free. Imagine if i said to a pregnant woman 'what if you change your mind?' IMAGINE THE HORROR!

Personally I feel like its a personal decision, that seems to be constantly up for discussion the conclusion always being that a child free woman will change her mind.

Feck right off, i know my own mind!

I genuinely think she’s just lonely. It’s quite sad really. Her days are so repetitive, equally as mundane as if she had the awful 9-5 she despises. Loneliness can be awful even with a sea view!!

I’ve been totally shocked by Siobhan the last few days. It’s all been mentioned already - telling us to mute her if her being in bali is going to make us angry/sad, the absolutely disgusting showing off with the first class flight, the having to “downgrade” to business for one leg. How can someone be that out of touch with reality?
I’m in Australia and it’ll likely be at least early 2022 before we can think about being able to travel back to Ireland to see family again. I’m actually filled with rage watching her here there and everywhere chasing the sun when there’s families like mine who won’t see each other for at least 3 years, and people just generally struggling in the current climate.

She’s a very silly girl flying back to Bali and I say that as someone who loves Bali and the Balinese people and have spent a lot of time holidaying there over the years. But it is one place you don’t want to experience health problems. If they had even 5 ICU beds on the whole island I would be surprised, never mind ventilators etc.

“announcing she going “home” to Bali” 🙄 but then after that says skip past her story!!! She’s a dick head
It wasn’t “home” when the pandemic hit and she was scared shitless she would be left in a poor country with sub par medical facilities. She raced back to ireland on a first class plane ticket then didn’t she? She’s had such a disregard for covid guidelines since it’s shocking that it’s the same girl that hysterically cried down the phone saying how scared she was and she just needed to get home to ireland. But on lockdown in Ireland in the pissing rain and dark evenings isn’t akin to living your best insta life and chasing your dreams so back to Bali she goes and her advice is to mute her if seeing that makes people sad 😂

What does she needs such a big place when she is all by herself,
She says she doesn’t need materialistic stuff but likes to show off her massive villa, first class fights, the latest Samsung and iPhone!
she is a walking Contradiction

Bali cases of Covid. But sure according to SOH it doesn't exist there and life is normal.
Just a heads up -those stats you posted are for the whole of Indonesia, not for Bali ;) As someone that's been in Bali since before the pandemic started, I can say that it actually has been pretty normal here. We had a couple of months where bars and restaurants were mostly closed except for take out. Parties were shut down though. But we could still go outside and exercise, go shopping, go for walks or bike rides and drive around freely. The beaches were shut for one month but they quickly reopened and social distancing has, for the large part, been quite well received here.

Life is now back to normal on the island - the only difference is the requirement to wear masks and to wash hands before going in to warungs, shops, bars etc etc. Most of the vacation tourists left early this year, and with borders closed, no new ones could come in. But there's a huge expat community, especially in Canggu, so there's plenty of people here to socialise with. There's no reason why life can't resemble some form of normality, as long as people are respectful of the new safety guidelines.

The main source of infections are in Jakarta, over 100k cases, one city that accounts for 1/4 of all recorded infections in the whole country that has about 268 million citizens. Bali has a population of just over 4 million people, and 11,000 or so recorded cases. All things considered, this little island really isnt doing too badly in handling the pandemic.

how do you find her in "real life"??
Ha - not exactly the friendliest. She has a natural sort of snarl on her face most of the time 😂, which suggests to me she really doesn't enjoy exercise, more than she's doing it because she HAS to be there. Doesn't seem to be able to work out alone, always seems to want her "entourage" there. Cannot lift weights - she can't go heavy or even demonstrate good form. She's about 5'9 - I read earlier in the thread someone said she was at least 6 foot - she's absolutely nowhere 6 foot. She wears rather unflattering shorts, like they're a size too small and they do nothing for her butt or hips - she does seem to be carrying quite a lot of fat for a "professional athlete". She can't handle working out in the heat at all, but it does take a while to get used to it!

a PT should be just maintaing or building muscle. why is she obsessed with calorie deficit? she is just so unhealthy and has a fucked uo relationship with food. am I right in saying you can't build muscle if you're in deficit? she was telling somebody who wanted to be "toned" to be in deficit the other day on her story... I don't think that's right.

if she cooked more she could improve her relationship with food a lot. I'm just a big fan of cooking though so I'm biased lol.
No you need to eat substantial calories especially protein to build muscle 💪🏼 you’re absolutely right I’ve a degree in health science, exercise physiology and nutrition and wouldn’t even dream of giving anyone advice

Also if you’re in a constant deficit it eats in to muscle AND fat! I think that’s why people spend some time bulking ie eating more to maintain and then cutting(Restricting cals) to lose fat especially bodybuilders

Do you know what annoys me? Sorry I’m on a rant 😅😂 but as I mentioned my degree it’s a 4 year degree learning about the mechanics of food(nutrition/biochemistry) exercise prescription for all types of people(men/pregnant women/older adults/kids) and anatomy & physiology of the human body focusing on all aspects of fitness and health but I am not qualified as a PT after it, I would have to do an actual add on in personal training, whereas this one just did a 6 week course and she can’t even cook or have a somewhat healthy relationship with food and exercise 😫
