Again, that £500k should have gone to Essex Community Voluntary Services who are “feet on the ground” organisations. They could have made that funding work properly for each specific area but no….ECC gave it to Simon instead.

The initial Essex is United page was good for people who have and use social media. Less useful to many of the older population who don’t or cannot use it.

Simons post is all me me me and a footnote sad fishing about his autistic son.

Hey Simon, I have an autistic son too, ECC lets them all down, not you so stop with the pity party.

It's absolutely irrelevant if he took this money in good faith that the measure for success was "reach" or "impressions" because even if that's the case, as that commenter that handed him his arse rightly pointled out, those things are of zero value to the public.

And honestly, I wouldn't even give that much of a shit if he'd taken the money for these useless projects had he not built an entire online identity around "fuck the ebil tories!" when this nest-feathering behaviour is nothing if not the fucking epitome of the Tory bullshit cranks like him spend their days dribbling about.

I also think it's a safe assumption that if all the people these posts allegedly reached couldn't be arsed as to so much as click "like" (and honestly it's not like anyone had anything better to do during a series of lockdowns), then it is highly unlikely they did anything else with the information. A like is the bare fucking minimum. AI generated images of a six-fingered Jesus hugging a panda get hundreds of thousands of likes for fuck's sake 😂.

I get more engagement in the pub beer garden on a Friday night than this cunt does with his relentless Facebook boomer shite.

He’s now moved to defending someone who isn’t remotely upset or asking to be defended. Laura is a professional actress and is aware how people react to her character, it’s her job and knows she’s done a brilliant one when people say “they hate Sonia”. But content cweator Simon has found a way to make a Xmas programme with a massive following all about him, despite not being asked to or any hint that theirs is some kind of backlash. He is basically spreading fake news at this point.

Yes we didn't have the internet and I never read tabloids but even I knew as a teenager that what happened there was wrong and that the truth deserved to be out there. He was obviously just thick as mince to have believed the scum and other shitrags at the time. I've never liked the fella but now I have a real reason to despise him.
