Just saw on Twitter that "Simon Cowell has been diagnosed with aggressive lung cancer". It's another Simon Cowell, not Sinitta's best friend. Can't work out how to link (if it's allowed) but I think Ricky Gervais retweeted it.

I knew this Simon Cowell and his work for wild life was amazing. He had a pelican that used to follow him around.

On the topic of the X factor it's weird how amazing singers never made it big after they got dropped from Syco. I have a soft spot for Rebecca Ferguson, Tamera Foster, Fleur East- it must be so hard to promote yourself
They could be so mean though- @RJF I actually felt Holly Jervis big mouth in your avatar was quite a good singer although the song was awful and she opened her mouth so wide- they told her she couldn't sing at all
