I used to look down my nose at alcoholics and drug addicts because I never indulged in drugs and whilst I could drink with the best of them could give up alcohol tomorrow. There isn’t even any in my house ever unless someone comes round.
Turns out I was an addict but just in other ways. I was a sex addict and I would date a different woman every night and I thought I was some cool stud until a brilliant therapist sternly told me I was an addict. I was so caught up in my own life and drama and problems that I made excuses for what I did and how I treated people and I pushed so many people away through my behaviour and lost loved ones and ruined others’ relationships.

My therapist convinced me to do the twelve steps and do group therapy with other addicts and it changed my life. Everyone has their own addictions and vices and I implore anyone to get help if they need it. You are not alone and we all go through struggles and addiction in some form at some time in our lives.
If you aren’t embarrassed by who you were last year then you aren’t growing and learning enough.
Sending love x

Seems like there is more going on with Sheridan than we're being told as the Mail are doing that thing where they are printing loads of stories but stories that actually say nothing at all.

Hope she'll be okay.

Anyone watching four lives on BBC? I believe it was filmed back in 2019, seems to be before she had face work done.

It's very good, really watchable actually. But I do feel she is starting to get typecast in the same 'working class mum' roles.

Weird story. There’s a reference to it being Essex Police but if that’s the case then the Storm Arwen cover is nonsense because we’ve not been too badly affected in the South East… a bit colder and windier than normal but not to the point that it would create poor driving conditions and near-fatal collisions. Something weird here.

Listening to her being interviewed by Rob Brydon reveals her to be somebody with very low self esteem. Despite being supremely talented she feels herself to be an imposter. She didn’t go to stage school etc. she came across as caring but very fragile. It’s a good listen. She is probably using alcohol as a crutch.

She’s definitely troubled. I think the death of her father plays a huge part and probably the breakup with her sons dad too. I hope she’s okay. Her career kind of changed the past few years. As someone else said she was fast becoming a national treasure highly respected actor and she probably had the pick of the roles! She seems to have really lost her way, maybe something happened that we don’t know about which means she’s no longer getting offered these big roles. Very strange.

It’s such a shame because I loved watching her career because she was literally a normal girl no fuss no rich family just a great talent. To go from two pints to Olivier award winning and these massive drama roles was brilliant.

I feel like she stands in her own way with her “demons”. She was on the fast track to being a respected and in demand actress, her work was noticed but she seems to have gone down the reality star route of infamy.
Messing around with married soap actor, sharing too much on insta, that cringey at home documentary and the Jane McDonaldesque album.

whoever is advising her or managing her must have dropped the ball somewhere because right now she is a hot mess and a bit of joke, yet a few short years ago she was destined for bigger and better things.

I don’t think I’m an alcoholic on the outside but I do often lie about how much I drink. To others, 3 bottles of wine is s really good weekend. To me, it’s a Tuesday night… I don’t drink everyday but I do find I need a drink prior to most social situations as my anxiety had hit the roof since the first lockdown. Nobody knows, and there’s always jokes about needing glass of wine after work/dealing with kids etc
“It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!” was me…except mine was 5am. It’s always said in AA that nobody there will tell you you’re an alcoholic and back when I was that dickhead and some people would share how much (or how little) they were drinking and I would wonder what they’re doing there (judging everything on me, again).

I know you didn’t ask for advice so I apologise in advance if I’ve overstepped the mark, but what stood out to me is that you lie - that would make me think you were unhappy with it and think others might be too. There’s a difference between just not being honest and hiding bottles, sneaking to the shops, disguising what you’re drinking etc. But either of those could cause you issues and it’s going to feed into your anxiety.

I totally get the social anxiety thing because I still have it too, and lockdown and all the certainty it’s thrown up…I hear you. ❤

I cannot stand her. I grew up fairly close to her, she competed in the same dance comps and festivals as me. Her & her mother were your absolute, typical pushy dance mom family. Arrogant, rude, ignorant and selfish. I will never forget how nasty and mean she was to some girls.

Something doesnt add up about the car crash story, multiple visits from the police, not breathalysed, something odd about it all!

It’s so sad that someone with so much talent has so many demons. She used to absolutely sparkle. As my nan would say, I don’t think she’ll be making old bones.

Shame the way she has ruined her face, she now looks like one of them American women from reality shows who have had to much done to their face.

Can someone explain why the DM are out for her blood? Like it's so glaringly obvious they want her to be another celebrity tragedy. I'd get it if she were loathsome or revered as infamous but I don't think she is??

When she did funny girl, they were frothing at the mouth always putting her in the sidebar of shame when she clearly had personal troubles and her father later died soon after.

Last night when the show was announced to close early, it was their top banner. Anyone know why? Who has she made enemies with??!

I thought she sounded slurry? Especially when Jonathan Ross asked her a question.
Unless she’s medicated (which can give the same effect).
It’s awful to watch someone have a breakdown in the public eye. I hope she’s getting the right support from her family and friends.

Loved her in Two Pints but never followed her much after that. She seems someone who should have been fairly big but didn't quite 'make it'. I know she's done other stuff but it seems her personal life gets in the way.

And by making it I mean like Olivia Coleman level

I’ve met her through a mutual friend and found her really pleasant….to my face. Turned out she wasn’t all that as a person. Quite disappointed.

Something has changed with her over the years... I'm not sure if it is all to do with her dad...but she definitely appears to have her troubles. I hope she gets help to overcome them before it is too late.
I really respect her as an actress. She is a fantastic actress...one of the best in the country.
