Slow month this month... only finished one product ☹

Bondi Sands Daily Moisturising Face SPF 50+ - This was the tinted fluid sunscreen, similar in texture to how I remember the Anthelios. The tint to this is weird, like a greyed pink but once it dried down it made me look very orange. Not the biggest fan of this, aside from the weird colour I found it migrated into my eyes and made them sore and I'm pretty sure it irritated my rosacea.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist - been using this for years. I change it every once in a while but I always go back to it because it leaves my skin feeling nourished. Definitely will repurchase but I have 2 other brands in my stash which I need to use first.

Augustinus Bader - The Rich Cream. Received this travel size in a GWP or beauty box. Awful stuff. I don't know if it had expired but it had the weirdest texture and didn’t absorb into the skin, I had to really work at rubbing it in and it just felt awful, like a film on my skin. I didn’t even finish the 7ml sample and binned it. Wouldn’t repurchase or even use it if I received it in another beauty box.

Votary Brightening Hyaluronic serum.
Not sure if it “brightened” but it felt nice on my skin and my skin felt nourished.
I received this in a subscription box but at £94 for a full size 😮 then I doubt I’d repurchase!

Garnier Whole Blends Oat conditioner. Was okay, their argan oil one is better for my hair type, which I am using again now. Can't get over the bad bottles, they are simply not the right type for the thickness of the conditioner, doesn't matter which conditioner you buy from that line. It'd be the perfect product for me if they could get that right, but it's seriously putting me off.

Tiny leftover of some shampoo I had put into a travel size bottle, I think it was Lanhaarmädchen Hydrating shampoo. Won't repurchase, dries my hair out and the scent is too strong.

Faith in Nature Rosemary shampoo. Got it as an alternative to my usual purple OGX but don't rate it. The bottle is massive, but the shampoo is really thin so I end up using double the amount.

Used up some travel/sample sizes…

Zelens Daily Defence Sunscreen SPF30 - it did what it intended to do and it didn’t feel greasy. Received this either in a GWP or a beauty box. I use SPF50 usually so I would not buy this again, plus it costs £45 for the full size! 😮

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - this had dried up because I just didn’t use it.

Loewe Aura Floral Eau de Parfum - was okay but I didn’t like enough to want to purchase a full size.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum - I’m not into floral perfumes so would not buy the full size.

Not an empty but unuseable. ☹
Dr Pawpaw It Does It All hair treatment styler.
It’s supposed to be a spray but it’s as thick as conditioner so I can’t get any product out through the spray. Expiry is 04/25 so it’s not congealed because of that.
I received this in my monthy beauty box subscription.
Would not repurchase.

I’ve been holding out to for the end of the month to join and post an August summary. Hope you don’t mind that I’m in Australia! Got excited and used up a lot of dregs this month, so it’s a long list.

Empty:
Azclear treatment cream - I go through one of these most months. My favourite thing for acne and redness that doesn’t dry my skin out.

Nivea cellular anti-age night cream - it was fine, didn’t notice much.

L’Oréal Elvive hyaluronic shampoo/conditioner - nothing exciting, replaced with something else that was on special.

Mco Beauty Xtend lash mascara - can’t beat it for the price, I always repurchase.

Revolution gentle eye makeup remover - gift with purchase. Nice, removed makeup well and didn’t sting my eyes.

TBH acne hack cleanser - always stung my face, used up on my body.

Binned:
Airy Day golden shimmer dream screen spf sample tube - from last (Aussie) summer, the lids on their samples meant it had gone bad. Pilled up when I tried to apply it.

Ultra Violette Supreme Screen spf- this was almost empty, but expired. My holy grail sunscreen. Not sure why I try anything else.

Purchases:
Mco Xtend lash mascara
Natio Infinite mascara
QV night cream

Simple barrier care cream cleanser. Bought on impulse (I’m a bit of a cleanser snob) cos it was on offer (£5) and I’m on maternity leave (no money). It has lasted me nearly 5months using twice a day and my skin looks very nice! I’m not sure if I’d be rushing out to buy again it did feel a bit basic BUT it definitely surprised me

After July and up to now also August of zero empties, I finished another 30ml bottle of Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid today. This is my holy grail, but I've got the Rich HA5 serum by Geek & Gorgeous now to use. Was impressed with that brand and wanted to try it.

Over the next week or two I should have more things to finally go. About time for some of them.

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream - really sad this is finished, my skin loves it.

Ren Overnight Glow Cream - would repurchase this, feels lovely on the skin.

Sunday Riley Vitamin C Serum - I liked it but have no idea if it did anything for my skin or not as I used it so sporadically and over some time. I want to try other products from this brand but have too many products to use first.

I used to have a really elaborate skin care routine but for some reason I got out of the habit of doing it. So for a while now I’ve been cleansing with Liz Earle and then a bit of moisturiser and spf and my skin has never looked better! I’m 63 by the way. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have the light HA5 from G&G as I love their vit c serum. So far I like the light one but would love to know how you get on with the rich 😍

Garnier Ultimate Blends Repairing Hair Food Papaya and Amla - Smelt nice but pretty sure it did nothing for my hair

Pacifica Vegan Collagen Hydrating Milk Tonic - Bought on clearance in Superdrug, probably wouldn't buy at full price despite actually quite liking it. Was hydrating but lightweight and despite being fragranced it didn't irritate my skin. Really like the pump too, wish more toners had that as found I used less product.

I also love their Vit C serum - it'll be the next empty, it only has very little left. I'll report back on the Rich HA!

I’ve got some of these press dispensers for micellar and toner, they cost less than £1 and make me feel better when using dupes vs expensive versions to escape the psychology that the luxury packaging makes the product better.

Olay anti wrinkle firming night cream. It’s my favourite, smells like summer and isn’t too heavy for my oily skin. I think it’s been discontinued though, can’t find it anywhere 😭

Nivea cellular eye cream. It’s too thick for my under eyes, ended up using it up as a lip balm lol.

byoma mandelic acid toner. Nice enough, not really sure it did anything.

L’Oréal hydra pure shampoo/conditioner. My new holy grail. My hair feels wonderful.

dove hydrate shower gel. Nice enough, same scent as the original but the consistency is lighter and a tad more gel like. I’d use it again if it was on offer.
