Soap and glory clean on me body wash - honestly, I'm not a fan of any soap and glory products. This was a gift and I don't intend on replacing it. Bars of soap are my go to.

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Ice White Toning Treatment Mask - I flip flop between wanting red hair and blonde hair. Currently in a red phase after someone called me a 'ginger queen'. I won't be repurchasing this until I decide I want to be blonde again.

Kiehl's Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask - was an advent sample size. Its fine. Made me feel like Shrek. No intention to repurchase.

Bars of soap are my go to.
Me too. Fragrance free soap to get clean then a shower gel for fragrance and benefits.

Just emptied a L’occitane Almond shower oil I loved. Can anyone recommend a dupe? Happy to repurchase if absolutely necessary but it’s spenny.

Emptied too a Nivea micellar. Prefer the Garnier, found Nivea a little stingy on the eyes. Might try the Primark one .

Finished a Colgate Max White sparkle diamond toothpaste too. Boring but really aren’t, first time I’ve actively sought to replace a toothpaste with the same rather than grab what’s there.

My recent empties:

  • Boots Micellar Water - Would repurchase, does the job. Usually on 3 for 2 with other Boots products too and a really good sized bottle for £3
  • Sol de Janerio Beija Flor Elasti Cream - This was a repurchase from when I emptied the original I got in an advent calendar. Don't think I'd repurchase a second time as I'm bored of the scent now and it really isn't that hydrating for the price
  • Elemis Superfood Glow Cleansing Butter - Finally emptied it and hated it every time I used it. Would NOT repurchase!!
  • Boots own hairspray - Wouldn't repurchase as not strong enough hold, think I need to get over my fear of my hair feeling 'solid' if I want curls and volume to last

Also finished all my shampoos and went back to using my classic Alberto Balsam Coconut for £1 🤣 It gets such a bad reputation but after trying multiple expensive shampoos and never noticing a difference I'm going back to this one as it's cheap, smells beaut and does the job for me

Just finished a pack of Simple Age Resisting cleansing wipes. Do not rate them AT ALL!!! I have spots on my jawline from them and I could just tell my skin was not loving it but I bought them and wanted to use them up... Nothing like their micellar water that I really liked.

I have bought the Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow Transforming Gel Cleanser to replace it, 20% off in Boots at the moment.

Garnier Vitamin C face wash - bought a replacement yesterday and it’s only £2.50 in B&M. I like it, my face feels clean and not dry after using.

L’Oreal miracle water for hair, the orange one. I’ve been using it for two years and love it. I find conditioners weigh my hair down, but this leaves it nice and soft without being too heavy. I get this on my Amazon subscribe and save, so it works out much cheaper at around 4.50 instead of (without offers) 10 in Boots etc.

Dr PawPaw 7 in 1 Hair Treatment - 1/10. Awful. Do not buy.

I can't really state if it does anything for your hair as, mine at least, squirts out in a thick sludge which just looks like a bird pooed on your head. I just gave up trying to use it and binned it.

Finished this, don’t know if I’d repurchase, it felt nice and smelled lovely, but wasn’t very hydrating for an oil, plus it feels really mundane compared to my l’occitane almond shower oil, so I’ll probs pass on this next time.

That's one I was considering, I'll pass then if it doesn't compare to L'Occitane. Rituals is another one I'm looking at,
I've read Aldi has a "great dupe" but can't find it instore. Can anyone confirm? I feel like the idea of 'dupe' has been diluted though, people use it for anything that's the same sort of product but cheaper when really it should be for things that are pretty much identical.

I use Rituals body oil and it’s okay, but I would personally say L’Occitane would be the best choice

I heard the Aldi version was naff. No clue on an alternative I'm afraid ☹

That’s enough for me, that’s 3 alternatives that don’t match up, I’ll just get the original.
Makes sense. You could end up spending just as much to try a bunch of products that are rubbish! It might be worthwhile looking at the refills. Both Cult Beauty and Escentual seem to have good offers on just now.

There is a refill of the loccitane oil that is a bit more cost effective plus you can get 10% off if you bring back empty toiletries to the store. https://ie.loccitane.com/almond-sho...qSabq4lH3AjT0IAFdH04pemOu1OvYuDxoCKiEQAvD_BwE

Would love to find a cheaper alternative tho!
Thank you. I found QVC has a deal too, it's such a lot to spend in one go on shower gel but it makes sense cost per ml. And if it helps keep my preggo belly soft it's well worth it.

I've just seen the Bioderma one is loads cheaper but you're right @Jellycat369 it's not a saving if it's no good.

@littlepup if you mean the rituals Sakura shower oil, I’ve tried that too, and it smells amazing. It’s not as thick as the l’occitane one though. Smells great and feels nourishing but yeah, nothing beats the l’occitane one!

The using up of random hotel toiletries continued with a DHC face wash (very nice ) and an illegible Japanese hair conditioner ( also quite nice). I also got a whole in the a of some M&S jeans so they were banished to the recycling too.

Is anyone finding they’re actually spending more time on themselves in a quest to use up products? I’m terrible for slacking off with the body lotion in particular but I’m slathering it on like butter on a large girls toast these days 😆

I’m also seeing the benefits too though. I thought I just had unmanageable cuticles and there was a limit to how good my DIY manicures could be. Turns out weekly cuticle remover & pushback and once a day nail oil is all I needed to have them in top condition but it was only the quest to use up these products that made me consistent enough to see how they could be!
