I just used up another tube of boots ingredients (they are really fab for the price) caffeine eye cream. my holy grail lottery winner eye cream is the Sisley lip and eye contour cream which I got in a gwp once.

I tried Superdrug’s equivalent of ingredients version and it made my eyelids like lizard woman. Their hyaluronic acid is fine.

I’m also going to rebuy the nyx dupe of the dior Lip oil. Have yet to find another budget dupe as good!

What’s the dupe called please?

I’ve just repurposed 2 large tubes of hand cream that I didn’t have a hope of getting through - they’re now in a tub mixed with vitamin c powder and being used as foot cream (which I do get through fairly rapidly). Feet are softer than they’ve ever been and although I still have a number of hand creams I now only have one backup (from my most recent advent calendar), the rest are in use across various handy 🤭 locations and will get finished up at some point
That’s such a good idea! What does the vitamin C powder do and where do you get it? X

im no expert but I recently used up a vitamin c serum on my feet because it did terrible things to my face each time I tried it - the result was the softest feet I’d ever had, much better than the specific foot creams I’ve been trying. I already had the vitamin c powder for mixing into face serum/cream (which is agreeing with my face) so I thought I’d power up the hand cream since the serum had done such good things. I have the Catrice vitamin c powder from justmylook (looks like it’s being discontinued as it’s only £2) If I didn’t have the vitamin c powder I’d have mixed these hand creams with my foot cream as they are cheapies so probably wouldn’t do much on their own.

Today’s empties

Beauty Pie ‘Happy Face’ moisturiser. It was purchased for my husband but he never sticks with anything so I decided to use it up. Not keen on the texture and left my skin a bit dull looking.

Delhilicious Body coconut tea scrub - these are amazing, a little goes a long way and we do buy them in bulk because we both use them every other day. Lovely small direct from producer business too.

Collection of scented wardrobe sachets - not used up as such but finally put to use in various places including the boots of our cars. No idea why people buy me these things tbh, but they just end up sat in a cupboard usually.

My empties from this mornings makeup:

Mac concealer - can't remember which one, but I've had this for over a year and only just finished it :( probably wont be repurchasing as I think it's very over priced
Maybelline 24 super stay skin tint - absolutely love this as a light weight everyday foundation with a decent coverage (not too cakey) - Will definitely be buying more
Collection concealer - actually really liked this for extra coverage under my eyes, will be re-purchasing

Revolution miracle cream. Supposed to be a dupe of Charlotte Tilbury. Finished the last bit today so will need to get some more

Nailene topcoat - no thoughts, have other top/base coats to use up

This works sleep spray mini (2023 advent calendar) - don’t like lavender, had this sort of stuff hanging around like a bad smell 🤭 for years in the past so I didn’t want to make that mistake again - now using the spray bottle for a bit of mixology on a few of perfumes that I’m trying to use up because they are just ok

Tenuous as empties some might say but I’m claiming them (I have 4 fewer blushes knocking about now) - I made a frakenblush from 5 part-used blushes. A couple didn’t have much left and I had backups (benefit minis from gift sets) the others were used to varying degrees but a colour/finish I wasn’t enamoured with now I have a wide range to choose from. I wanted to make it as easy as possible to use them project pan style for everyday so I now only have one and it’s a colour/finish I really like. It’ll be interesting to see how much I can use in the year just on days when I’m not making a special effort (I use whatever makeup I fancy when i’m going somewhere of note).

Emptied today was 3INA The Moisturising Primer 30ml.

Was ok but keen to streamline my routine so no repurchases.

Finished up my oloplex shampoo today, so now on to using the millions of mini shampoos my husband always brings home from living in hotels part of the year. Let’s hope my hair survives 😳

Finally finished my infuse my colour shampoo in copper.

I love the shampoo and it gives me hair a lovely copper tint but it's so expensive!

Just another 857 bottles of shampoo to finish! 😅

Omg no! They look really nice, would you recommend? I had a stash of the nyx ones to use (the hoarding shame!)

The nyx is the large lip oil, they do a range of colours - I think the light blush pink one I had is called newsfeed. Really ‘my lips but better.’

I've not tried the ELF ones yet, waiting to finish my naff Aldi lip oil before I purchase another one. Really want to try the NYX ones too 😬

I really rate NYX for the price. I love their brow products too!

I really like elf too, the highlighters/contours, primers and putty blush are great also. Maybe I’ll try the elf oil this time!

Oooh I’ve been looking at that infuse my colour shampoo in copper for soooo long. Can I ask, did you use it alongside a regular shampoo or just that on its own? What about conditioner? Ty x

I'm down to the last dregs of Inkey List retinol serum and niacinamide serum, seems to be taking forever to get to the end of them as only using a pea sized amount a day 😫 decided not to bother with serums anymore once they're done. Just an extra expense and wasted time to your day with an extra skincare step
