Thanks guys, what's everyone using then that actually works. Might give ATK a try.
I'm a mitchum girly through and through - only thing that seems to work! Specifically the natural powder ones (coconut scent is glorious) or the gel versions. I've deviated and tried others but I always seem to come back to mitchum every time x

Since using the dettol soap as recommended on here I'm sweating less and smelling so much better! I wonder if I had underlying bacteria (I shower daily honest) under my arms that was contributing to my sweatiness
I think it’s the only soap that properly washes residue of all deodorant sweat etc away.
Shower gels smell nice but I don’t think they give as proper a clean as what the dettol does.

I just use a normal bar of soap but I do find I smell less when I use soap compared to if I use shower gel. Im convinced shower gel doesn't clean you properly!

I use Dove Beauty Bar and love it, I'm pretty convinced that you have to find a combination that is able to properly wash off residue from your deodorant, doesn't react badly with the bacteria on your skin and smells nice.
My aesthetician told me she had a few weeks where she suddenly started smelling much more, despite not changing anything and "solved" it by applying Sterillium, so straight skin disinfectant, to her armpits. It really can happen to have a bacterial imbalance then leaves you smelling even though you didn't do anything wrong and I've also heard that some people experience this from switching deodorants. hence me believing you need to find the combination that just works for you, even though that can be really annoying...

Mitchum stick here too.

I use a fragrance free soap bar all over to make sure I’m actually washing stuff off and not masking odour (even nice odour like perfume/body cream). You’d be surprised how often you’ll soap up but can still smell say a sun cream on your skin after rinsing.

If anyone really suffers with odour Hibiscrub is a body wash they use pre/post surgery. It kills all bacteria, yeast etc on the skin and stops it forming for hours. (Can’t get it in your eye or ears etc)
Clinisooth/Clinisept+ skin is another anitmicrobial that’s a watery spray, similar deal.
A bit like spraying dettol on a surface but for the body.

They can also help with broken skin conditions like eczema and acne, backne, cuts and abrasion etc, anything where bacteria can worsen them so not a bad ‘fist aid’ kind of item to have in.

Mitchum roll-on girl here too 🙋‍♀️ been using since I was a teenager, it's the only deodorant I can wear any clothes with and not worry about wet patches under arms

Latest empties - just finished Caudalie foam cleanser and won't be rebuying, it was quite drying on my skin which is oily type so it must feel really terrible on drier skin types. Found a lot of their stuff overpriced for what it is. But they had rave reviews, so I splurged on 3-4 things and been determined to finish so I don't waste my money! Also bought the oil cleanser, and miscellar water, which were no better than plain old Simple or Garnier ones, and few sample sizes of their serums broke me out

Garnier Micellar water- not repurchased this as the Nivea one was on offer so thought I'd give that a try instead.
Tresemme conditioner-didn't really soften my hair so will not be buying another bottle.

L’Oreal hydra pure shampoo - a new favourite for me, great shampoo that properly cleans my scalp and smells lush. Still going with the conditioner, I don’t need a lot for my fine hair so it’s lasting ages!

Boots raspberry shower gel - I love it! It's 85p smells beautiful and I can still smell it on my skin throughout the day. They also do a mango one which is just as lush and I'll be opening next.
Only down side is the lids are always leaky but can live with that.

Nutrogena gel moisturiser - this really agrees with my skin. I've got another one to open

Dr Dennis Gross Fill + Repair serum.
This was a travel size received in GWP beauty bag.
It was okay, didn’t do anything exceptional to my skin but obviously I only had about 2 weeks worth of a product so not long enough to tell. The full size is about £75 so I won’t be repurchasing.

Random Q. When a jarred product has a plastic hygiene cover, as opposed to a peel off foil one, do you leave it in after you've opened it or bin it?

I always leave them in as found it helps prevent spillages when travelling. Think it's supposed to help reduce bacteria too.

Does anyone know with the Recycle at Boots scheme if you're able to drop off perfume bottles? I did check the list quickly and couldn't see anything specific but wasn't sure.

Beauty Pie Superdrops serum.
This was a free GWP.
It was okay - didn’t make any difference to my skin either way so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Late to the party, but I'm another pro-Mitchum, anti-Wild girl. I liked the concept of Wild, even though the product didn't work for me, until they started bringing out different cases and encouraging people to collect them. For a supposed waste reduction brand, it didn't sit right that they were promoting consumerism :sneaky:.

I finished an entire laneige lip sleeping mask 😭😭 after consistent use for 2 years…feels like such an achievement haha. I will repurchase even though I have a lot of other lip balms. This one is just something else

You can upload a pic on the app and see if its approved. I fond this scheme such a hassle..the Loccitane one is much handier if there's a store near yoy

After nothing at all since May, two empties today!

  • Inkey List Collagen Peptide Serum. Won't repurchase. It's not bad but I'm also not sure it does anything.
  • Garnier Whole Blends Argan and Camelia Conditioner. Great condish, horrible bottle. It was my second one, the conditioner is too thick to squeeze out, so I've not bought this type again and will try my luck with the oat conditioner from the same line.
Hope to empty a few more things this month, I've stuff always open for a long time even though I don't own that much, but I'm over some products that don't work or don't work well enough.

I chucked an almost-full tub of Superdrug coconut body butter. I hated how it went on, didn't feel like it rubbed in very well, and just sort of streaked white across my skin. I'm sure I used to use it and liked it, but no longer!

Finally got to the end of my Zara Waterlily Teadress perfume.
Was ok for work but I didn’t love it.
Also my Olaplex conditioner. I really don’t think it’s anything special. I’d go back to Tresemme if I thought my hairdresser wouldn’t nag me 😂
As it is, I’m using up a morroccan oil conditioner now.
