Does anyone else’s cats get zoomies when you’re trying to get ready to leave the house, I’m not sure if it’s me up and down like a lunatic checking the plugs he’s getting in on the manic vibe but it’s always the same, I feel so bad leaving him when he clearly is in a fun mood. Or is he trying to manipulate me into staying?!
Mine get them at 3/4am sometimes upstairs which my dog who is downstairs hears and starts barking. Worst time for him to bark 🙈

Miss Cleo has hit the terrible twos. Im the one who feeds her, cleans out her litter, buys her toys but who gets scratched and hissed at? The other day I was tickling her belly and she was biting and scratching me, said to my boyfriend you do it and she stopped and started flirting with him!

I don't have a partner, but is it true that male cats prefer female "owners" (servants) and vice versa? My little girl is obsessed with one of my (male ) friends to the extent she comes over and purrs hysterically when we're on the phone, meanwhile little boy is my little shadow and hates/is scared of said friend 😂

Yup, Merry lies in my husband's arms like a baby whilst Loki is very much my baby!

I do find cleo is more of a man's cat. I have a male friend who has fed her for me when I've been away before and she was sitting in his lap and everything! She loves sleeping on the bed with my boyfriend and i dare not disturb them 🤣 My louie loved me, he was my wee shadow too. He used to wait for me to go to bed and he would follow me through.

We have three boys, and they adore us both (both women). And they suck up to female visitors while ignoring most men.

I think it's mostly true, Pooh loved his dad but was obsessed with me to the point where he'd lie with his face pressed right up against mine and followed me around the house.
Susan used to be obsessed with my husband but in the last year or so she's started getting more clingy with me, holding on to my arm while I'm reading, sitting and staring at me while she drapes her tail over my husband's face.

Peach definitely favours my fiance and yearns for the chance to lay on his legs when he’s on the sofa. Sleeps right up in his bum too whilst he sleeps, like he’s just given birth to her 🤣 she does the same with me but only when dad’s out the house, despite me being the one to feed her, keep her eye clean when it’s weepy, change her poop box most of the time (dad does usually end up doing that too) and prepping her little snack mats each morning 😅

... I've heard people say females aren't as affectionate but when I had my girls one was quite independent and sat beside, not on and the other was a pure sook...now I have my handsome boys, Jules is a bit more of a sweetie but Remy likes to curl up on me more lol...
... don't they find the weirdest spots/positions...
...Remy looking sooo regal...

I've heard this too but I think it entirely depends on the cat. I had a female cat growing up, she was quite affectionate, she slept on my bed and I remember her sitting on my lap reading books with me but she never cuddled me. Louie was never affectionate with me until he got to about 6 and he would let me spoon him on the floor. Cleo is very affectionate, she kneads me and lies on my at any given opportunity, last night she slept right at my chest but she kept putting her paws in my face. I hope she never stops 🤣

My previous cat Freddy was a boy. I think he did prefer female over male company. He was also extremely affectionate and wasnt shy to be so. Our cat Bella is much more reserved with her affections - she is affectionate but its on her terms. Freddy always came for a fuss if i was around or came to greet me when i got home from work but Bella doesnt do this. She will say hello when she is ready to do so.

She is affectionate but equally aloof . She loves us but doesnt make it so obvious whereas Freddy made his affections known.

Photos of our cute little girl ❤

That being said she was nervous nelly when we first brought her home - and almost a year later she has become a lapcat. She usually makes herself at home on my lap most evenings which im happy about ( although not so much when i need the loo or she gives me a deadleg). All the same i am chuffed feels comfortable enough to do this.

we were worried she would be nosying around the tree - luckily she was more interested in napping on the fake "snow" bedding :p:LOL:
