My boy Thor has an internal clock that tells him to start bugging me 1 hour before food time. You could set your watch by him.

Jimmy is the same. He has a 12 hour clock that counts down from his last feed to the next one.

Anyways, I was in the bathroom this morning when I heard the kitchen cupboard door rattling. I looked and, sure enough, there was Jimmy trying to open them. There is absolutely nothing in there for him to eat - it's pure mischief and nothing else.

He was so engrossed in his safe-cracking that me asking him what he was doing was enough to make him go "Eeeep!" and flee the scene.

I think I've mentioned my (clever, girl) cat has realised I don't like the noise of her ripping paper (often hVe newspapers lying round etc) so does it at weekends when breakfast is late. As I said, flat is littered with newspapers etc. She chose to start shredding a setlist I got from a concert last week. The level of clever/mean...

One of mine always appears an hour before meal time too, his internal clock is amazing. Sadly as time ticks by he gets more vocal, walks in front of the TV, knocks things off the fireplace etc etc and he gets hangry.

Mine really struggles when the clocks go back because nobody sends her the memo. Funnily enough she has zero issue with the clocks going forward…

Miss Cleo wakes me up at 5am to demand breakfast... Last night she did everything in her power to wake us up, crawling on us, Scratching and crying. My little demanding girl.

This is strange but in the past my cats have been just like all of yours regarding food times, they would let me know in advance & demand service.
However with my current bosses, they don't do this at all. I wounder if it's cause of their backgrounds being feral & Boss #2 being only a few month old kitten born into a feral cat colony? Maybe because they would be hunting for their food, they haven't yet fully realized. Because they don't ask for their meals I don't have a super strict schedule for them & there's maybe a 2 hour window in morning & evening where I feed them. I wounder if over time they will get more used to this and start to remind me?

We have a simple schedule. They ask and i feed them 🤣 they do like eating often and little. They always have dry food down. That's all one of the cats eats. Most of the time i have to go to the kitchen and show him the food though, he often refuses to just go and have it by himself.

My mum’s current and previous rescue cats were ultimate grazers who pick at the food on and off all day. One of them had a routine for Dreamies at 9pm but neither of them need(ed) a set feeding routine for proper food. My cat hollers for food and then scoffs it as fast as she can. Unless she has disliked what we’ve served her, she will not leave a morsel in that bowl/plate when she’s done. The cat we had growing up I think was a bit of both, would look for her meals specifically but picked/grazed the food through the day.

My girl never demands. She's fussy about what she eats, but not when she eats it. I put her food out first thing when I wake up and she always has food out (her wet food gets replaced in the evening but dry food stays all day). She just picks when she feels like it.

My cats don't have a strict routine either, on weekday mornings I feed them at thr same time as part of my pre work routine but at weekends it's way later and, as I live alone, if I go out after work the time also changes. They seem basically fine with it. My parents cats om the other hand become irate if their feeling schedule is minutes later than usual 🤣

Yep. My old cat used to run upstairs on his claw tips, then get into the bath and muddy it up. He had huge fluffy paws, so I have no idea how he did it.
