...my wee Evie has an enlarged kidney...she was getting skinny so bloods done yesterday and it's her thyroid...going to be on meds for foreseeable (£250 down, just as well I love her)...spoiling her from now on hahaha... this is her with a couple of bits of my toast, she loves the butter!
All the best to you and Evie. It's awful when they're sick.

In lighter news, we are currently travelling around Japan, which has a brilliant luggage forwarding system which means you arrive at your next hotel, and your luggage is there. We love the logo, and I thought you'd like it too.
I want to go to Japan purely for all the cat related stuff they have haha

Wanted: Good Home for a Bad Cat.

All my downstairs is wooden flooring.

Where did Jimmy decide to upchuck his scoffed-too-fast dinner?

Why, into the gap between the granite slabs by the fireplace.

Took me twenty minutes to clear it up.

He is currently sleeping off the rest of his dinner in his chair next to me out in the cold backyard until he apologises.

Sympathies, my house is mostly tragic 80s tiling apart from the bedrooms. Of course the cats only vom on the rugs or carpet, if it's on the tiles they helpfully make sure it's under the dining room table.

It is a cat thing all mine could normally take two/ three more steps and not be sick on carpet but flooring that's a lot easier to clean up, they also like to do it around 5/6AM as well.

That was the other morning.

I was woken at 2.30 am because of an outbreak of imminent feline starvation.

No sooner had I fed him and crawled back into bed than I had to get up again as the dulcet tones of "HYUK! HYUK! HYUK!" came wafting up the stairs.

Yes and even if I put a piece of kitchen roll under them, they still manage to miss it.

Anyone else's cat feeling the cold? Poor cleo has been sleeping a lot more and she's currently fast asleep underneath a big blanket.

Yeap both of mine have been sleeping next to us and Boss#2 has been getting under the duvet.
I bought them a blanket mat thing that's all fluffy. It's supposed to warm up when laid on. It's not a plug in thing, it's just whatever the fabric is. I have it on the sofa and they have been liking that a lot during the day.
I also have lil hoodies & jumpers for them when it gets much colder 🥶🐈⬛🐈

Mine don't seem bothered about the cold but that's probably because i keep my house very warm 😅 they have a heated mat but tend to only use it for a bit then move somewhere else

I once had a cat who managed to vomit down the back of the radiator (she'd been sitting on the windowsill above it). Fun times!!

Apologies to anyone reading this at breakfast, but some cats are just much more pukey than others. My current idiot boy very, very rarely pukes, but my lovely tortie girl (RIP) was an expert at inhaling her food then throwing it up again.

Ive noticed that too, my louie was never sick but cleo gets hairballs and sometimes is sick up her food quickly. When she first started getting hairballs I had no idea what was going on, she also howls like her soul is leaving her body so I was scared that she was really ill but was reassured it was just hairballs.

With Jimmy, it's gluttony, pure and simple. He can't eat a bit and walk away. Nope, he must eat as much and as fast he can. Came downstairs this morning to find he'd thrown up in the bathroom. His wee was uncovered in the nearby litter tray so he must have had to get out to be sick the eejit.

I had to take his bowl off him on Friday evening as I was late getting home so he figured he had to make up for lost time and eat it all in one go.

Mind you, a previous cat would throw up once or twice a day for the sheer hell of it and she lived to be 15 with barely any health issues at all.

Yeah one of mine pukes a lot and the other one I'm not sure if he ever has. He does like eating the puke though which is strange cause otherwise he only likes dry food 🤣 sorry i know that's disgusting
