Just a tip if you buy a Kong check the rabbit section as they were half the price of the dog ones,.not sure if there's specific cat ones but the rabbit ones would be fine

I got Boss#1 3 months ago yesterday. I've heard her meow only few times, it's so soft & quiet. Boss#2 will be with us 3 months tomorrow, I've heard her meow way more often but it's also a very quiet & soft meow.
It's so strange because neither cry for meals at all. My last cat had a super strict routine & would cry well before hand to get us ready for meal times. She would also meow just to chat to me. I miss her so much.
I had thought both cats were improving, trusting us more & being more friendly with us, but nope. Ever since I took off Boss#2 onsie after she got her stitches from being spayed removed, she hasn't cuddled with me at all. She has even stopped sleeping in with me at night. Boss #1 is still running if we get anyway close to her.
Tbh it's like not even having cats only that I feed them and their litter needs scooped daily. Actually their litter needs scooped each time they've used it bc a) it stinks & b) Boss #1 still thinks she is outside and is trying to bury her scent & so just makes a mess shredding everything.
I just want them to be happy here with me & let me brush them & cuddle them.

I know it's a hit or miss but we bought a Feliway Optimum for our girl as she was still super skittish after the two months and very wary of us, totally avoiding us for most of the first month except when she was totally touch starved and decided she needed to be loved upon on her terms. She's a totally different cat! However BIL tried it for his little demon cat and it made him even worse so I think it comes down to the cat.

Yeh I had the same experience with feliway trying to get my former cats to get on, it made them worse and when I asked the vet about it she said it was actually pretty common. Worth trying even so though I'd say

This is so silly but I’ve been so scared to share her as she’s half Scottish fold! I know they’re the pug of the cat world but she is definitely a cross breed and we take her for regular health checks to make sure she’s okay and we make sure to check every little quirk she may have. She’s also adopted not bought so please don’t think we are monsters! This was the photo on her pets4homes listing that made us fall in love with her 😭
Aww she's beautiful! No judgement here.

I've always had rescue cats but 13 years ago my husband surprised me with a Maine Coon and we ended up with 3 (now two.)

I would never shame anyone for getting a pedigree, it's a personal choice. Actually, those Munchkin cats are something I don't agree with, when my godson turned 18 I told him he could have whatever he wanted (within reason) and he asked for a Munchkin. I did some research and told him nope, no way. We ended up sending him overseas instead as I couldn't bear to buy him a mutant cat with built in problems.

I just worry as I know they got really popular with Taylor Swift and there’s been so many “Taylor Swift has this cat but they’re riddled with back and joint problems!” articles since then. She’s pretty robust by the looks of things but she is an absolute princess. Totally agree about the munchkin cats though!

Top tip: if you want your cat to discover their miaow, stuff them in a catbox and take them to the vet. My idiot boy was very, very quiet until he had to have an abscess treated, and now he's surprisingly loud.

Aww poor baby. As I said my little boy isnveryyy vocal, which I discovered when I first got him and had to trek the hour home across London with him just screaming the whole time. I instantly felt terrible for all the times I've been annoyed with parents and crying babies on the bus 😅

So stunning, I always wonder if cats understand death or if they just thjnk their friend has run away? They're so perceptive I think they must understand it ❤
I think they'd know somehow. I just know they must miss him as much as we do. He was always cuddling someone, it's hard not to miss the one who had the snugs on tap.

We have 2 of those plugged in the home, there has been no change at all. We also have drops for their water, no change. A spray, which if we spray it they will avoid that area, it's suppose to make them calmer in that area. We have calming treats which doesn't change anything. There's also calming drops for back of their necks which smell nice but don't do anything else.

So long as you are all happy together, then who cares - she's so pretty anyway! ♥
