I had been dog sitting, so the local cats were staying well away. The day the dog went home (I was on a post dog comedown

Last night I was laying in bed and Boss #1 walked in. I looked over and patted the bed, and she looked and jumped up onto the bed beside me then she flopped down beside me purring away and let me pet her and snuggle her and even use her as a pillow!!!!!! I can't believe how much things have improved in the year and a half she has been here. I was really worried after we first got her that she wouldn't be friendly and I'd never be able to pet her, let alone use her as a pillow! I'm so happy that she is happy with us.

Leo is continuing to thrive and develop his personality. I promised yesterday that I'd get my knitting needles out of hibernation for a new little one about to arrive in extended family, so had a rake and found them today, ordered in wool and it just dawned on me that im not quite sure that this will be a compatible hobby with a young kitten

I'm upset as my friend's cat has gone missing.
My friend's cat is the father of our youngest cat.
Cat is neutered, so hasn't gone out to get jiggy.

Make a missing poster with a good photo and post it online and irl.
Call around vets and tell them, give them the missing poster. Also contact cat charities and do the same with them.
Is he microchipped?
Also try get a smelly tin of fish and leave it outside the door to help guide him back.
Really hope he comes back home safe soon!

Not sure if he is back yet (I hope so) but tips are to leave some things outside that smell of home (including some of the contents of your hoover apparently) or his litter tray if he has one/blanket or even a piece of dirty laudry. The other tip is to go for a walk or stand outside in the early evening and talk in your normal tone and volume, they are supposed to respond better and hear that better than shouting their name.
Poor boy is still AWOL, my heart breaks for my friend. It's harder as his cat's daughter (our little one) looks like a tiny version of her dad. We've been exchanging photos for years saying how alike they are.

Is there any news yet, Boomy? I'm worried all the way down here in Melbourne.
Our cats have completely destroyed one of the scratching posts on their cat tree. Simple, I thought. We have spare posts. Not so simple. I now have two cat trees, and have had to go back to the manufacturer’s to ask them for an instruction manual. And I had to have another shower.
No signs of him at all.

Had a bit of a fright last night. Cleo loves to wonder in the stairway. She comes up if she sees someone. One of my neighbours left the back door open so she went right outside! I've put notes up to say please don't let her out. She came back when I shouted thankfully. My mind went to worse case scenario. She's now fast asleep not knowing the chaos she caused
