It must be hard (ha!) for actors to perform in front of a bunch of production people, unless the scene is closed off to just 2 or 3 crew members only.
But even then the idea of taking your clothes off, indulging in foreplay, and then letting the trains enter the tunnels so to speak, while you're being watch by a load of production staff, must place an extra burden on your acting skills. Especially if the director isn't satisfied with the scene and keeps on asking for retakes.
