Where can I watch active shooter please?
It’s on sky documentaries In the UK, I watched it on NOWTV but sky may have a catch up service. Looks like in America it’s a ‘showtime’ show, available on amazon through that.
“Active Shooter: America under fire” is the full name of the series

I remember seeing the news footage of Fred and Rose West and just being shocked. I also recall the bloody steps from Versace's murder and of course the OJ trial.
My favourite(if thats the right word for it) cases are Wonderland, Zodiac, Manson/Labianca and the Black Dahlia. The Find A Death page is fantastic, Scott really knows his stuff. I have taken his tour before when I was in LA and its really informative. There is also a great group linked to him on FB. If you are ever in LA take the Dearly Departed tour, I cant rate it enough. Also the Museum Of Death was a great, I went to the New Orleans one last year but the LA one is the better one.

Did Ian tell the police he didn’t know? I’m sure I heard he would play a game, say he’ll show them where he is then he never did show them?

What I find fascinating, is that Myra used to babysit some of her neighbors children before she met Ian. I think had she not met him, she would never have considered this or something similar. She would have lived a quiet life, raised a family and we would never have known her. She’s absolutely evil and 100 percent responsible for what she did, I’m not disputing that. But I think my point is how she became a murderer by circumstance. It’s quite scary to think someone could get you into such a way of thinking.

I think Ian always had it in him. He used to be cruel to animals as a teen I believe. They say that many murderers initially start on animals.
100% agree. My aunt (married into family) and her siblings were babysat by Myra quite regularly. She says she remembers her being a nice girl, just normal, nothing significant sticks in her mind. She remembers her babysitting for other families too, like u say. Myra would have had plenty of opportunity to hurt children and didn’t (or as far as has been reported). There’s definitely been a trigger for to change her behaviour. It may well be she thought about / planned these horrible things in her head but had she not got involved with him, she might never have acted them out. You’ll never know with these types of cases, I think it gets worse the more u think about it tbh.

Also fascinated by this case. Have read a few books - Nichols, O’Mahoney and Leach to name a few.

Have enjoyed all the films and documentaries too - Rise of the Footsoldier was good (the sequels not so much!)

I don’t think it was Whomes and Steele though....
I think they were the fall guys.

I have read the O’Mahoney book.

The real person behind the hit, their name will never be known publicly. Anyone who decides to spill the beans will end up suffering the same fate as Tucker and Tate.

I personally believe it was the police. They were too much of a drag on society so the police did it to get rid of them once and for all. Took the word of a self confessed liar and put Steele and whome in prison so they took the rap for it. Perfect cover up. There are videos on YouTube where you can hear the calls going into 999 and the conversations between the police are very strange considering what had just happened. Worth a listen. As awful as this sounds if you google there’s a website where you can see there bodies in the mortuary. Absolutely horrific and I just thought these kind of pictures would never be accessible. Another reason i am led to believe the police were involved
Wouldn’t surprise me really. Essex Police fit up Jeremy Bamber for the killings at White House Farm and coupled with the Establishment and the Masons, there is so much corruption in this country, it is unreal.

I still think Myra and Ian Brady have more victims
I don’t. And my theory is Ian didn’t reveal where Keith bennett was because he simply did not know or remember. I don’t think there was more victims. But what we need to remember is we all know what we know because of Myra. She was the one who told the story and give the info and tried to blame it on Ian so she would get away with it. This backfired on her. Ian never spoke about any of it. She was his toy. The reason they got caught was because Ian tried to involve Dave smith his brother in law. It is believed this is because he was getting fed up of Myra and wanted a new recruit. I refuse to believe this was all Ian and I also refuse to believe they are psychopaths. I think they wanted to do this, so they did.

Darren Nichols is a complete fantasist! a good book but i dont think Steel and Whome did it either.
ive seen the mortuary photos 😱 i stumbled on them by accident..Surely police murder case photos should not be turning up on the internet! they've beem in there for quite a number of years so it had to have been someone within the police who put them there! I'll check out youtube !!
You can see their mortuary pictures on Pinterest, of all places! 😮

Love this thread!
huge interest in murders... recently I’ve gone from watching documentaries to confession interviews.
chris watts was my recent watch (Guy kills pregnant wife and 2 kids in Colorado), absolute stone cold, vile man. The body cam footage of the initial police call out, wife’s friends getting involved, his neighbours Ring camera catching him moving the bodies and his behaviour change/getting caught was fascinating to watch!
I think it’s called “how police caught Chris watts” on YouTube.
Three hours today watching this! 😂😂
But thanks for sharing
Watched the trial on YouTube and all the ring footage and police cam!
To say he is not a monster is disgusting!!

My mum had a friend who was a prison officer, and she worked where Myra Hindley was. She got to know her and said she was very polite and well mannered, which surprised her.
My uncle got interviewed during the Yorkshire Ripper investigations, actually a lot of local men were interviewed. Think it was just the accent!
I loved Mindhunter, since its based on the real founding of the Behavioural Analysis Unit of the FBI.
I also loved Criminal Minds.
There are some American serial killers that I'm interested in, Zodiac, BTK, Ed Gein, Bundy etc, but British ones hold more interest for me.

Peter Tobin.

Angus Sinclair and Gordon Hamilton.

There is three serial killers we will never (IMO) truly know how many victims they have. All of them DEFINITELY have killed more than they have been caught and jailed for.

Incidentally I was watching Dennis Nilsen stuff last night (not Des- keeping that for later this week) and it made me realise how many of UKs notorious serial killers are Scottish 😳😳

Peter Tobin
Angus Sinclair
Gordon Hamilton
Dennis Nilsen
Ian Brady
Robert Black

that’s a lot and I’ve probably missed others.

Talking of spree killing, the docu-series Active Shooter America under fire was really good. I think it’s available to download on sky.

I listen to a lot of podcasts about all sorts of crimes and mysteries. I walk my dog in remote areas and if I’m listening to a podcast it can make me very jumpy. I very rarely see other people and when I do I get a bit paranoid especially when they are not walking a dog also.

JCS - Criminal psychology on YouTube have some really good videos. Not serial killer focused but cover some really interesting cases and the interviews with police, touch on the techniques used and what is happening and why. They put the videos together really well.

Yes!! So much so I'm currently training to be a forensic psychologist 😂
I would love to do that, and I’m thinking of changing career. I’m obsessed with how people think and I love studying behaviours and anything like that. How did you get into it? If you don’t mind me asking?

Love reading about serial killers, have fallen down many an internet black hole. I'm not sure saying 'favourite' is right but the serial killers I have been most interested in are John Wayne Gacy, the 'Monster of Florence' and also groups like Murder Inc (love reading about the mob) and the Ripper Crew.

I also like unsolved murders, like the Black Dahlia.

I think it’s only his mother who says he’s not a monster. Everyone else sees him as he is.

the really sad thing is that Shanann could not have predicted his actions, he really was hiding in plain sight.

No he confessed to killing them. He said one girl watched him kill her sister then ask if he was going to do the same to her. Unbelievable that people like that walk amongst us, he’s the definition of a monster. Still hasn’t shown any remorse from what I can gather.
Just watched the Netflix documentary on this

The Rettendon Range Rover Murders facinate me too.. i think because a lot of places the victims worked at went are places i know or went as a teen.
My husband remembers Tony Tucker being the bouncer at Hollywoods nightclub in Romford, old work colleagues ex got on the wrong side of Pat Tate and had to go into hiding.
Have you read Bloggs 19 book by Darren Nichols ? Its quite a good read although slightly unbelievable in places !
There is theory the police shot them as Leah Betts Dad was ex firearms officer!
There are many theories relating to this one.

There are one or two YouTube videos where people have commented on this subject too.

I think whoever was behind this hit, their secret will be kept for many, many years.
