It's such a slower burn than Vinted, the only time I've sold something same day as upload recently I reckon I must have pinged someone's saved search for that exact top because they popped up and bought pretty much straight away

Being positive all the scammers and idiots seem to have left Ebay and if I do sell anything I never have issues on there any more. Bad news is all of these people now seem to use Vinted !
I do much prefer that the offer system is still very much anonymised and impersonal and you don't have to digitally look the person in the eye, so to speak, while they're being a grabby wanker (although I've found much less lowballing over there to begin with)
that and the letting you set your lowest offer threshold (or if you'll even take offers) of course, I'd missed that

I wouldn't normally report anyone for that but the amount of obvious businesses spring up in the last couple of months is mad. I don't blame them though as it is free on Vinted but fees on Amazon and Ebay

Honestly, the culture on Vinted continues to repulse me. This woman contacted me for information that not only was in the title but also in the pictures. My response was curt, which of course she did not like, but look at the response and what this reveals - this is the problem with Vinted which is probably a refection of society in general:
That in a nutshell this is how the majority of buyers on Vinted think. They are doing seller a favour buying YOUR things. I actually think they begrudge having to pay anything at all. They should just have your stuff in their hot little hands, and quickly.
This is why when they don't get their 40% discount, they immediately lose interest. Or if they do really want it and have to buy it at the asking price, they won't release the funds by accepting the order, making you wait 48hours, and don't give you feedback. The petulance.
I had a woman last week send me a 40% off offer, and I responded saying - that's 40% off? She replied to say 'yes I am haggling with you'. I gave her £5 off and she accepted. I think people like her are now a rare case. I don't think people who throw out these 40% off offers are haggling. That is the discount they want, and anything less they will turn their noses up to.

And another person who has bundled three things, coming to £48, which they automatically got 10% off, as I have bundle offers enabled when a lot of people don't, which came to £43, so essentially one item completely free. She wanted another £4 off. I said no, which she has read.
I'm confident the biggest item out of the three will sell today, so I am not that bothered but the attitude stinks. It really makes me sick.

It's like Etsy. That was supposed to be a platform for vintage sellers and home made goods. Now it is flooded with mass produced tit and made to order crap.
I remember watching the Depp v Heard court case and the now infamous phrase 'Mega Pint' coming up. Within hours Etsy was flooded with 'Mega Pint' merch. I was amused at the time but it's a shame. Etsy is now like RedBubble. It's lost it's ethos. It's be homogenised.
I absolutely agree with you,but reading some forums today we are in the minority in thinking this way. According to them you should take what you're offered,the comments range from "it's used" "it's not that deep" "it's not a career" "that's how the site works" "nobody should be paying full price" "they should be grateful" and many more. Yes,I get offers immediately after listing and then absolutely zero till someone eventually buys,or I reduce it.
It's clear that people think that way, but the fact they are boasting about it online tells me everything I need to know about them. Even if they are in the majority, it doesn't mean they are right. It's persuasion. It's a culture thats been propagated unfortunatley.
I am quite firm with prices. If someone is polite or honest like that lady I gave the £5 discount, then I can be persuaded, but the greed I find repugnant and I don't like to reward it. I probably am a square peg trying to fit in a round hole (story of my life).
When things didn't sell recently, I bundled things and stuck them on Ebay with varying degrees of success. I will be doing a car boot in a few weeks time, where some of the stuff will be priced exactly the same. If they don't sell, I would honestly rather they go to charity so they can get the money, then sell it to some greedy zealot putting their 40% off demands on me.

I am not sure if that account is a drop shipper (most likely not) but vinted is flooded with them. Also people buying temu crap and selling at a mark up, also the sort of stuff you see on Etsy that you mention. Apparently car boot sales are the same - Temu and Amazon retuns sellers and very few genuine people clearing out.
I usually have a price I’d like to get for an item for example £5 so I’ll stick it on for around 8.50.
I went to my local car boot on Sunday full of a certain breed of people walking round trying to flog fake AirPods and iPhones. Obviously not payed a pitch price and just walking about pestering people.
