I also have an unusual name, born early '70s, premature and under 3lbs. A name was chosen, by my Dad, he was told that it was unlikely i would live, and my Mum was extremely poorly and her prognosis was also not good. He had to give me a name and fast!
In her devastation and seriously ill condition Mum agreed to Dad's choice and said it doesn't matter because she will die anyway. Anyway .. suprise! We both survived and thrived! My sisters have more popular names and I was always pissed off I couldn't get my name on an egg cup when I was a kid and they could!!! I have grown to love it. Its taken awhile though! And .. what a story about how your name came about... not tradition or a song.... urgency!

One of the children Angelina Jolie adopted has asked a court to legally drop the "pitt" from her name. I'm unsure if she was adopted whilst Angelina and Brad were together or if the Pitt was added in afterwards. I'm sure one or two of his biological children with Angelina have also dropped Brad's surname from their names. It's said that Angelina turned them against him but I'm not sure I believe that...I could be totally wrong though but I could see them being just as bad as each other really.
