The FA knew about previous allegations of him living off immoral earnings and was jailed for it in the 80's I think (spent 71days in prison but got released on appeal) but still let him own 2 clubs. So seems he had friends in high places because even simple convictions and connections to dodgy characters and countries are enough to stop ownership, but he owned Birmingham and West Ham.This has absolutely disgusted me! The day after we got home from the hospital my husband popped into the local shop to tell them we'd had the baby. The shop also functions as a bit of a community hub. He went in, told everyone he'd arrived, told them the name, and everyone burst out laughing. The owners had got a puppy while we'd been in the hospital and given him the same name. It's cute, they're growing up together.
