Just like the last fake assassination attempt! Someone has to take the fall for it. Anything to keep the files and Iran war off the front pages!
Someone's willing to ruin their life with a prison sentence to keep tit 'off the front pages' which is already very much in the news? How much money would you accept for this job?

A Rick Wakeman gig and a performance of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle were some of the worst hours of my life.
With Wakeman, I felt like I was going mad, I just couldn't take anymore so I hid in the toilet for hours waiting for it to finish so my lift would take me home! 😂
I can highly recommend both performances for someone you hate!
I sat through a George Benson gig when I was a young teenager, I went with my mum and her sister. I was so bored. I’m sure he’s a lovely man but the show was dull. I just wanted to go home 😭

If it was a conspiracy there would be no prison … just a show trial, and then set up in a new life elsewhere … or the promise of a new life, but they don’t make it past the end of a trial.

Haven't even looked at the trump stuff so I don't know any details but it's easy to find someone mentally unwell/homeless/a criminal with no one to help them/desperate enough and pin stuff on them if they're in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's naive to think that any government wouldn't throw anyone of its citizens under the bus like that if it helps them out.

Must admit, on seeing the news this morning, my first reaction was to roll my eyes and think, 'Oh, another one.' Very cynical about the whole business. A bad part of me also thought, 'Ah well, maybe third time luc..'

ETA: I would nominate Su Pollard to be next POTUS but that means she'd be lost to the UK.

This guy is a clean-cut Black man who won teacher of the year award 3 years ago. He's not homeless. He may have a mental illness though.

Me and my husband were just saying how lucky is Trump that in a country where almost everyone owns a gun, neither of his assassins couldn't shoot straight? 😬🤔
(I've never even held a gun, and I'm sure it's really difficult to aim and fire at a non-moving, 79 year old target 🫣🤭)

Off topic - so apologies - do we have a thread where you can just blether away about how good or bad or normal and mundane your day was?
This one seems ideal:

Olden days "glass skin" look? 🤷‍♀️
A lot of my older relatives have only ever used astral and vaseline and their skin looks better than most. Obviously they have some wrinkles but many are in their 70s and their skin is smooth/glass skin. Maybe the influencers always promoting Korean skincare for glass looking skin need to get on to astral cream 😂

Off to look up astral....

I use Aquafor nowadays, which works well......I saw it mentioned on Real Housewives of BH (to keep it celeb related), and thought if these multi millionaires are basically using vaseline, why would I buy an expensive moisturiser. Sometimes it's best to tune out of marketing and go back to the long term tested basics....
