There seem to so many of those programmes on Channel 5 and similar with a middle aged woman in a twee picturesque setting becoming an amateur private detective - all 'Miss So and so Investigates'.
It's utterly bizarre.

Speaking of Sally Lindsay, I'd love to know what she did to piss off the entire cast of Hollyoaks back in 2018 She was presenting an award at the British Soap Awards, and the entire cast look livid at her general existence when she walks on stage. I used to walk to work past a TV studio and came face to face with James May coming the other way once. He gave me a dirty look for no reason. I've not liked him since then. I didn't try to talk to him and I was only looking in his direction because he was walking straight towards me.

I have it on good authority that Jeremy Clarkson is a miserable bastard in real life. Tiff Needell is definitely grumpy in real life and nothing at all like his cheeky-chappie TV persona.
