I hope not for Lisa’s sake although it possibly looks that way
Lisa had a lucky escape. The amount of people who blamed her for his alcohol and drug addiction. She didn’t force him to do it just like she didn’t force him to get behind the wheel of a car while pissed off his face. Can’t stand the big forehead bastard.

I didn't know that about Kylie Minogue. That's VERY disappointing.
I don't mind her generally and actually like some of her songs (not the recent stuff) but can't understand the near deification of her on this thread. I find the thread patron idea a bit cringe. Unpopular opinion, I know..

The thing about surrogacy all I ever hear is about what the adults want.
No one ever seems to consider the baby being torn away from the only heartbeat, smell, voice and mother, that it has ever known.

Haha...it kind of is what it is...But this is how I shamed myself at Supergrass's Xmas Houseparty-

Back in the day I worked with the drummer's brother. He was really nice and all, but we weren't 'mates' per se, and had socialised outside work only a couple times in a year.
So, I was honoured when he invited me to this party, I was the only person from work to be invited, I was 19. Yay!! I thought.
I asked a mate to come with but she pathetically chickened out. Leaving me to travel to the south coast on my jack. I purchased a 5 quid bottle of pink prosecco and a tiny cactus from Budgens, assuming that would be a cool gift Haha.
Once I arrived, I was greeted at the door by Gaz from Supergrass. I had been hammering on the door and swearing for 5 minutes as no-one could hear me, so it wasn't the best of introductions. I then tried to make convo with him by asking how it was in Oxford? Haha. They grew up there and had not lived there for years...He gave me a blank look.
The party progressed, I was pretty awked as knew no-one, bar the guy who invited me who was nowhere to be seen. I tried to talk to Gaz again by offering him some budgens prosecco in the kitchen, but he not so politely declined.
Rock and roll dreams somewhat shattered, I got massively pissed and ended up dancing 'vogue' with a woman who turned out to be my mate's boss. She grassed me fully for this to my mate obvs.
I had nowhere to crash and they set up a room with a bunch of thin guest mattress things in it. Fell asleep deeply at about 4am , and yes folks, awolk soaking wet. I firstly did not know where I was, I assessed the sitch and realised there was a bath in the room. (?) Like standalone bath, in a bedroom. Luckily no-one was there, so I decided to fill the bath, and put myself and the sodden camping mattress into the cleansing water.
Someone walked in to see my wrapped in this thing, naked scrubbing it and pretending everything was normal...
I scrunched the water out of the bed thing and shoved it into a bathroom that I only just discovered...Terrified I'd be shamed forever. They were all downstairs by now and seemingly oblivious.
I went to the beach with them afterwards, and legged it knowing I'd blown my chance of being part of the rock and roll world forever.
I didn't see the guy who invited me for a few weeks after, and thank god, he just winked at me and smiled.
The most embarassing xmas story I can think of. Haha. Anyone got anything worse?

I heard similar from someone who met PP in a work capacity on many occasions - he had time for everyone apparently. Same person had more limited experience of Prince Edward, but heard from people who worked with him that he was similar to PP. Prince Andrew on the other hand was awful apparently
I don't think Philip was a racist. Rather he was an old man, born in a different time, who didn't realise some of his jokes and comments were no longer considered socially acceptable.

Spice Girls from someone who knew them all.

Mel B - genuinely scary

Emma and Mel C - proper lovely

Posh and Geri - played to the important people, ignored others.
Used to think she was so cool. I remember reading years ago in Sugar magazine an interview with Mel B. Said you should always twist a guys nipples for horny fun. But it never went down well, guys thought I was nympho loon. Won’t take her advice again.

Well known secret Geri was desperate to get together with Christian Horner many years before they did. I have posted this before Christian and Geri were sleeping together while his long term partner Bev was pregnant with their daughter. He left Beverley and Olivia and her sons to be with Geri when Olivia was six months. Christian’s parents were so disgusted at the time they didn’t attend the wedding. The woman in white ain’t so pure. He was a twat for treating his partner so badly so no prize.

Jeez, can we be a bit gentler with all the older Mom comments? I’m an older Mom through undiagnosed infertility and it makes me feel like shit to read some of these comments, I’d say generally the cut off age for a natural pregnancy is about 47, usually the last of a few kids. I had mine at 47 with help, it’s hard, I’d have preferred to have been younger but that was out of my control. Ta

What about adoption then do you feel the same about that?
There's plenty of evidence that adoption can cause trauma (not always but it can). The difference between adoption and surrogacy is that with adoption, the child already exists and the birth mother can't provide them with adequate care. With surrogacy, a child is deliberately being created to rip them away from the only person they've ever known. Often so a richer person can benefit from the risks taken by a poorer person.

Can we please stop all the baby chat? Go start another thread about geriatric pregnancies (if there isn't one already) as it's obviously a very popular topic.
But it's taking over this thread now and it's too much.
Also posters have stated they are not comfortable with the discussion. They come in here for celeb gossip. If it was a thread on geriatric pregnancies they would be avoiding it.

It's gone on for pages.

I'll lay my cards on the table.

I think Ant is a lying cheating drug taking good-for-nothing git. If she is pregnant, good luck to her cos she's gonna need it.

Presumably after divorce no 1, marriage no 2 came with a pre-nup. A baby would blow that out the water.

Does anyone remember the show where part of the audience participation was a wee girl who wanted to ask her stepdad to adopt her? And forehead said he would love it if his stepdaughters said that.

The stepdaughters who seem to have jettisoned their dad as at least one of them was using McPartlan on Insta.

Gives me the ick!!!

I’m not going to go into a debate. I’m being good with it being Christmas and all. Have a little google on how much the RF bring in every year from tourism and the Dutchy and shit.. plus we would need a head of state that would need to be voted in, we currently have a fucked up government I don’t think a head of state would be any better.. bunch of corrupt bastards.. the end..

… NEXT.

Where’s the gossip come on peeps..
No debate just stating my opinion in response-

Other countries such as France bring in more in tourism than we do, and places emptied of royal family like Versailles are a top attraction.

The RF are an antiquated idea, and increasing numbers of people are wondering why we are expected to curtsey and cheer at these pointless morons who snip open the ribbon at a hospital once in a while.

The amount of expenditure that went on the pomp of the king’s coronation was appalling when the country is in such a state. People who protested with placards saying ‘Not My King’ were arrested. Disgusting.

I think the RF are painfully aware that public opinion for them is waning hence the ‘slimming down of the RF’ they’ve been trumpeting for a while. In this modern age the notion of us all blindly clapping and cheering for some random people born into wealth and circumstance is jarring and I hope they’re on a downwards slope.

I think people forget how they've been influenced even subtlety by the press and their slant on the separation/divorce, the press did the job they're supposed to do. The public gloss over the fact he is a convicted drunk driver, who nearly killed a family, but focus in on the illusion that Lisa was the root of ants problems, while he shacked up with the PA they had.... the mind boggles with the mental gymnastics people play to always blame the woman.

My late father (who was a person of colour as Meghan would say) met Prince Philip a few times, due to his work. Once, Philip, who was abroad on a visit, spotted him in the crowd and came over to him greeting him almost as if he were an old friend “what are you doing here old boy!”

Dad said what a charming friendly person he was, unlike the image portrayed in the press, and certainly not racist to him.
