As atm the only facts seem to be serious sexual offences over a time period of 3 years
Separate allegation of inappropriate messages ( which has no timeline so could be from when it happened or recent, also inappropriate covers alot of options)

are you actually for real? he was NOT “essentially cleared”, do you know how hard it is for historical SA cases to go to court? the police believed they had enough evidence for a conviction but the CPS turned it down, which is very very common unfortunately. It does NOT mean someone is “cleared”.

Also could you explain to me what a PDF looks like then? because to me it isn’t just the creepy old man down the road, it could literally be anyone.

To be clear I don’t think you can tell by looking (except for Jimmy). I’m well aware that it’s those you least expect etc. my point, badly made, is that there is often a lot of smoke around serial offenders and you get a general gut feeling even if they are in the public eye and you never met the etc. Scott mills so far does not seem to have a pattern of behaviour. Perhaps that will change and I am not saying - whatever if was ages ago- I’m saying it is not black and white IMO in this case. There is simply not enough information. There is no criminal case and he didn’t work for theBBC at the time of the alleged misconduct.

In the past hour I’ve heard radio 2 promo a show starring a man who pays for sex, play a song by a man who had relationships with underage girls and play an archive clip of a man whose wife left him due to his cling film fetish. I’m not saying they were wrong to sack SM because it does sound like it’s well deserved but I’d very much like the BBC to publish a values report to understand what they’re fine with.

But there is a massive difference is there not between the risk posed by someone that acted with one individual twenty five years ago and someone who was up until his discovery (and afterwards) actively pursuing multiple individuals?

Between someone found guilty in a court and sentenced, and someone who was not charged.

Between viewing dozens of images of child sex abuse including toddlers and someone whom from the facts we have MAY only have entered into a 'consensual' relationship with someone who was fifteen

People are reacting differently because these are very different offender profiles representing very different risks and because not to appreciate this is truly to be part of the mindless, braying, almost always hypocritical mob

Nobody is saying that’s okay if he did it. But it was investigated by the police and he wasn’t prosecuted. He’s not been convicted of anything but because the BBC had a knee jerk reaction, hysterics like you are pranding him a pweirdo over something that may well never have happened.

The BBC are going to haemorrhage staff over this. They’ve created a situation where any fixated person or nutter can make allegations against their staff and they’ll sack them and throw them to the pitchfork mob like you and ruin their loves, even if nobody is sure they actually did what’s alleged.

The couple of comments on him being a P not saying he isnt but atm the info out that doesn't imply that. They've just said Under16.

On your post I disagree, I think because of the risk of a lawsuit they would be very careful before sacking him.
