They
I think the Dad was just as guilty, I think that she might have done most of it but he did too. Even if she murdered Sara and he's taking the blame he still sat back and watched for years. I wonder if any of them will give evidence, probably will and point blame at each other.

They will probably refuse to come out of their cell like the cowards they all are

Her spinal injuries probably meant she became incontinent beasts.
Yes. She had ELEVEN SPINAL CORD INJURIES. These people are BEASTS.

"Pathologist Dr Cary concluded the 10-year-old died from complications arising from multiple injuries and neglect, the court heard. Her death was described as “cumulative” rather than being attributed to one specific injury or incident."

This is awful, so basically it was like Sylvia Likens or Junko Furuta, where a cumulation of weeks and months of planned, targetted traumatic torture eventually made it so that her little body couldn't take anymore. HOW can you see a child suffering and not do something to help, much less make it worse?

Also: she had 'tram track' injuries - as I understand it these are due to carefully targetted beatings/lacerations; they have been seen on Guantanamo detainees.

Also the chest 'collar' bruising - suggests long periods held down under heavy restraint or in a stress position.

Literally these are guantanamo war crime type injuries, these weren't injuries caused by a caregiver losing their temper, they were carefully thought out and planned.

So many of these poor mites seem to be hidden away through home schooling to protect the b@@@ards that are abusing said child, well imo there now needs to be new laws made where at the very least the family needs checking up on no if no buts.Something needs to be made law as its far to lax now

The scream heard by the neighbour two days before she died is likely explained by this

the pathologist said she may have gradually succumbed to two traumatic brain injuries she suffered two to five days earlier if she was left unattended.

I know it’s not the neighbour’s fault, but that would haunt me knowing she could perhaps have lived - or at least died with dignity and without pain - if the police had been called.

I'm curious about why some people assume it was all the stepmother? What are you basing that on? Admittedly I haven't read everything about it but I haven't seen any evidence to say it was her more than the father.

Agreed, and a text from the step Mother to her sister (I believe) said he was beating her badly, that was sent in 2019.So it wasn't just abuse over 1/2 years, it was abuse pretty much all her life!

I’m guessing as they stated they heard shouting from the step mother when the father was not there and when he was there it seemed quite

The reports say that Sara was known to Social Services. At first I wondered if it was when her parents separated and if they had to do a section 7 report. But it seems like the school had concerns or at least recorded them on CPOMS or whatever so surely they spoke to social services about her.

The bite marks I think was what made some people think that plus she ordered the tape and was the one at home with her "home educating". As more and more horrifying injuries come out I think it was all three.

This is one of the worst cases I've read, the calculatedness and sheer cruelty inflicted.

The stepmother is the only one who has refused to submit to a dental impression, the father and uncle have been cleared of being the instigators of the bite marks on Sara's thigh. Whether any one of the three meted out more violence than the others is a moot point. They all lived in that house, they all fled, they're all guilty. Joint enterprise.

Does anyone else wonder if Sara was targeted by her "father" and "stepmother" because she looked like her mother? A reminder of his past...
I don't know why but it's something that keeps crossing my mind.

Throughout this awful tradegy one thing I can say is how amazing the police officers who attended were because seeing that must be scaring. Then the pathologist who spent 3 hours looking at her body and hours giving evidence. It's not a job I could do.

I'm finding this trial really hard to read, no innocent child deserves this but this just feels so brutal. What chance did she have? She could've been saved.

I sadly deal with lots of awful things in mu job and I'm finding this so tough to read I keep skipping down because my heart breaks for her. Not that it's not broken for the other children lost in similar circumstances. It breaks because this keeps happening to these innocent children by the people who are supposed to love and protect them more than anyone

The bites were either the step-mother, or another child was made to do it (which is unlikely). By not supplying dental imprints it implicates the step-mother as the two men were ruled out.

The previous neighbour only heard shouting and swearing at the children when BB was home, not US, but that doesn’t mean it was only her - it only means that’s what was heard.

For me, it almost doesn’t matter who actually harmed her - physically or psychologically - because all three adults in that house were all responsible for her wellbeing and all three of them failed.

I am so worried for the other children. I know they took them to Pakistan so they were with family rather than in care, but i suspect it’s also because the older siblings would be able to answer questions about what actually went on, and by whose hand.

Refusal to provide dental impressions, parcel tape used for the hood ordered from her amazon account, neighbours account of screams/swearing/hitting noises coming from the house when the father wasn't present, the video sent from Pakistan with her brazen complaining attitude. She gives me serious emma tustin/savanna brockhill vibes. He's not innocent, but my gut is she is the driving force.

Does anyone know if the brother is her brother or his brother? It will be interesting to see what he says in all this. He is referred to as "uncle" in the papers, i presume that means saras uncle and one of their brothers?

Someone up thread said they were naive enough to originally believe this was a tragic accident and I have to say the same. When it first happened that’s what I thought too. My god, how wrong was I. That poor, poor girl. Everything I read in the updates is worse than the last. I feel sick to my stomach reading what she had to endure.

I struggled to read about all her injuries. I’m trying and failing to conceive and it’s very much at the front of my mind all the time. I can’t say I would make an amazing mum, nor could I say if the circumstances were such that I’d make an amazing step mum, but duck. I’d never, ever, ever hurt a child that was either biologically mine or for some reason entrusted into my care. Ever. It’s absolute barbaric. That poor, poor girl.

I have a feeling the step mum was jealous of the child somehow. I think she probably framed her as having being naughty, started off the abuse herself as the neighbours heard and then when the father got home, told him how she'd been naughty and he carried on the abuse. I think she knew eventually she may die and got herself an alibi by texting her sister all those years back. How she thinks that might save her is beyond me. I think her idea was to run off into the sunset with her man, but he made the call instead.....

100% I think there is a huge jealousy element there, I don't want to say bad about kids but if you see their fb pages, both have pics with Sara next to her 2 sisters, the stepmums children, and Sara stands out as much prettier, its bad to say it but its true. She probably couldn't handle that, plus jealousy of her being from a previous relationship, she just gives me emma tustin vibes that she couldn't stand having a reminder of her partners last relationship around and so targeted sara.
