Grief can affect people in so many ways. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child. I know people that have. I
Roseanna got a taste of the insta life and is holding on to it. She said she wouldn't be on insta much but still has been posting private moments. She has a husband and young child also grieving too. Leave down the phone/camera and grieve in private, think of wee Farrah Rose now.

its an insult to every other sick child fighting this awful disease. Every single one of these children are equal in care and importance even though the majority of their parents care for them in privacy.

hi there is a good few accounts on instagram journalling kids battles with cancer and other diseases. some survived some havent. i guess saoirse got more well known because of the toy show.
i guess instagram will be a way for them to keep saoirse memory and a distraction too

I'd say that comment was in reference to the "Nation's child" title given to Saoirse by her Mam. It may sound harsh, but she wasn't the nation's child, and it'll sound even harsher, but most of the country probably haven't even thought of her since the funeral. That's the sad reality, she obviously meant the world to her family, but she was their child, not the nation's.

Wasn’t the teddy’s name (slush) even mentioned in the death notice on RIP.ie?

‘Best friend to Willow and Slush’

I agree.
But I do think those posts should have been to a very very limited audience.

And she should allow her little girl privacy now too, the child probably barely understands what has happened and definitely wouldn't have any concept of how social media works - and rightly so, obviously.

I'm not judging the poor woman, I don't know what it's like, but I do think those moments are really really precious and private, and should have been kept that way.

My heart truly goes out to them and to all who lose a child, in any circumstances. Unimaginable.

I didn't pay attention originally to the FR reading one, but isn't that S's teddy (is it slush?) And an arm. That is too much

I came here to see was I not alone in thinking her latest posts were too much, how would you think to film your child’s hearse to make a reel later that didn’t sit well and then the pictures

The latest stories are another step too far. It's one thing to record a small clip of the grave (which shouldn't be done either imo), but to record a few close up shots, director style, to edit them together, and have FR kids the cross, that's just horrific.

A lot of work went into that.

It's beyond weird and inappropriate.

I’ve muted her but must now fully unfollow as this grief porn is too much, poor saoirse

The little one looks so uncomfortable in the video where she’s trying to watch the cartoon but is being filmed

This little video of FR saying goodbye to Saoirse. It's all so heartbreaking
I think Mamma needs the connection of I Instagram Community or something. I wonder has she a close knit family or supportive friends. Seems Instagram fills a void.
What did she do work wise in the past? Was it some kind of marketing?

I think it’s disgusting exploiting any child’s privacy regardless of circumstances and if anyone thinks it’s for the mother’s benefit well she should try alternative therapy to protect her children. It’s also much too cruel for kids and other families who may be suffering in similar situations.

Oh god I was one always on here defending her. She needs to be told to stop posting

I knew this would happen. There are too many strangers invested in their lives & the privacy of FR doesn’t cross their minds. For as long as there is an enquiring audience, she will continue to share. I’m still not over the fact that people actually shared her reel of S & her final days, it’s actually sick.
