Yeah sam is perpetuating steriostypes that only hot bods can dance. Not good.

No Owen dear ppl aren't shocked, they find the piss drinking grim. Sam objectively looks terrible and that's not purely because they them are massively overweight. I don't care what others do in private, but keep it in private
Why do you say "they them" and not just "they"?

Some commentator, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, made an Instagram post yesterday calling out the fatphobia inherent in the response to the video, going so far as to compare the crown/corset/pasties/jockstrap outfit with a still from Harry Styles's Music For A Sushi Restaurant video, where Harry wears a coral crown, strings of pearls, is bare chested and has a mermaid tail.

There are indeed correlations between both images, but Harry isn't drawing attention to his crotch in the video. And in my opinion Harry is more conventionally good looking than Sam. And yes he is a physically fit young man.

Aside from the physical differences between them, the subjects of both videos are wildly different. Harry's video isn't overtly sexual and I don't believe he is trying to be sexy. Whereas, Sam is.

I think it's perfectly ok to not find a person attractive, we all like different things/find different things attractive.

I have said it before, I'm not Sam's target audience, so whether I find him sexy or consider him sexy is entirely moot.

I just don't like the song. Don't like the subject of the video and really don't think allusions to golden showers belong in a music video.

I, for one, am absolutely sick of seeing their nipple tassels everywhere! I didn't like Sam pre coming out and I don't like them now. There's just something off...bad vibes!

I actually take offence to the anti queer slurs kicking about on socials.
Im saying Sam Smith attitude is rit, their dress sense is awful and piss showers are not appropriate. What’s the problem with that opinion?

He was on Graham Norton in a sheer jumpsuit and a thong (sequined crotch) and whilst he was sitting on the sofa he and GN made a joke about being exposed, thankfully his a was nor seen.

Poor guy though he had clearly worn it for a to be seen on stage when he danced bottom facing audience but alas the lighting was too dark so all it looked like was opaque trousers 🤭🤭

I must confess that up until a few days ago, I had never heard any of Sam Smith's music, he just isn't my cup of tea. So I searched on YouTube for some of his earlier work, his music is fairly unremarkable. No amount of trendy marketing, will make me like his music.
One more thing, I am not being disrespectful in refusing to acknowledge his so called gender identity. I am excercising my right to express an opinion. I really dislike being told what to think by the media.

Never seen harry styles video before but man that’s a sexy merman

sams video just looks like he is trying too hard. It’s vulgar and offensive. He’s had the audacity to say in interviews that the music industry isn’t ready for queer people yet his video is like a mashup of rocky horror vs meatloaf vs Prince vs George Michael vs Freddie mercury so give us a break Sam

One of my friends retweeted this

Sorry but no. If the muscle guy had of gone all out with the nipple covers, gloves, tiara, gems etc I'm sure people would have been taking the piss out of him.

Also one is wearing something that looks like thought and attention along with tailoring to fit has gone into it. The other looks like someone picking up whatever they found on the floor.
I don’t get this
That muscle guy might not be able to sing, so he isn’t going to go releasing music. If he did then no one might buy it as it’s terrible. Not everyone can do everything well. Sometimes things just aren’t meant for you and you can’t force it

This just shows just because you can do something. Doesn’t mean you should.

Or maybe, you know, I just don't want to see other people's bodies unsolicited. Its like in summer when both men and women forget hot to dress and you have to put up with seeing more of them than you want to.

Then why look at the video? Surely it's not "solicited" when you choose to watch it? 😅

His mother was SACKED from her city job because she was spending all her time at work trying to start her son's career.

There's a Daily Mail article about it from the time.
