Pretty sure they slagged the Bond song off after releasing it, saying they hated performing it live until they realized it was up for an Oscar then suddenly decided they liked it. Then when they won, they tried to claim they were the first openly gay person to win an Oscar which was balls as Dustin Lance Black had won in 2009 for Adapted Screenplay. Of course, after being called out, they played the victim saying they had lost confidence because of it... judging by what they wear now, they seem to have got it back in buckets full.100% agree

I think it’s just for me the pure cringe of the poses and outfits not the size. I’m a chunk myself. I am not sure what kind of unique reinvention this is, I have gay friends go to gay bars and pride etc and this look or act isn’t unusual, it’s performative and very kink driven, which is fine but let’s just call it what it is. SS is openly into kink now and bringing kink into his music which is quite niche and not for everyone. Drinking piss and BDSM references just appear to be Sam indulging in a vanity project tbh, they just released another song about sex and made a video entirely about sex. It’s not really that deep.

At least when Sam was songwriting before it was more emotion based and I quite liked it but I think he’s lost a bit of a fan base who just find this entire thing cringy. I also was a kid of the late 80’s and 90’s so men wearing make up or dresses was edgy and made them cool - this is not something that’s cringe in itself, I think it’s just Sam isn’t pulling it off

I think Sam is incredibly fatist himself. Why is sam only including hot fit dancers to get their a's out in videos? Where's the obses and weird people? Talk about being unrepresentative.
Good point tho. If Sam promotes body positivity and is happy in his own skin and identity it would be a been nice to have diverse people dancing and drinking piss instead of all the typical hot bods.
